Leaked Photos Of The Purported LG G3 Show That the Smartphone Gold Rush Is Far From Over

We've steered clear of many of the rumored photos of the upcoming LG flagship refresh, if only because they weren't very good or very clear. But the latest spy shots from GSM Arena look like the real deal: an "LG G3" that brings the company's top-of-the-line phone back in a bigger and more evolved form. Oh, and it's gold. Very, very gold.

Compared to the international version of the G2, this phone looks a little bigger and less rounded, and the front façade has been given an overhaul with a case-colored insert beneath the glass screen. It looks a little odd, especially after LG has pushed so hard for vertical symmetry - it brings to mind some of HTC's "chin" designs.

HTC One M8 Leaked In Pink, Because Why Not

It seems that even when our phones are covered in metal and marketed as the pinnacle of mobile hardware design, we can't get away from manufacturers who want to make them pink. HTC apparently thinks there are at least a few consumers who want a blush-colored One M8, because Evleaks just posted a promotional shot of said phone in pink. Every millimeter of the M8's aluminum shell is covered in the rosy hue.

At least it's a subtle pink, the respectable pink that you'd expect to see paired to pearls instead of the eye-searing hot pink that seems popular with the Hot Topic crowd.

HTC One Mini 2 (M8 Mini) Press Image Leaked, Duo Camera Conspicuously Absent

We've been hearing rumors of a "mini" version of the HTC One M8 almost since the flagship phone itself started leaking, and today we've seen some of the first concrete evidence that it's nearing completion. Perennial mobile Deepthroat Evleaks posted the renders/press photos below, showing the new device in three different colors. It preserves the style and materials of the current HTC One line.

Metal body? Check. Dual front-facing speakers? Check. But there's at least one feature that's not there: the much-ballyhooed Duo camera from the One M8, which uses a secondary rear camera sensor for various quality-enhancing photo functions. Earlier leaks from less reliable sources also omitted the Duo camera (though the design on those leaks was somewhat different - note the placement of the proximity sensor on the front).

Upcoming HP SlateBook 14 Is A Laptop Running Android With A Tegra Chip Inside [Update: Video Pulled]

OEMs have tried a few times to make Android work in the notebook form factor, but the closest anyone has gotten is the Transformer line from Asus. Those are tablets first, though. The HP Slatebook 14 is a straight-up laptop running Android, and it's starring in a video demo posted by HP. Update: It looks like HP wasn't ready to spill the beans quite yet. It pulled the video from its site for the time being.

Rumor: 'Ok Google Everywhere,' Modular Actions, New Navigation Buttons Coming To Android

We've recently seen plenty of rumors related to Google's future plans for its Search app, from automatically remembering where you parked to reminding you of things when you're with another person, to reminding you to pay bills, down to something as simple as setting a proper timer. Clearly, Google's got plenty of plans for what will happen inside Search. But today, we've got something a little different - this time, it relates to how Google's voice assistant will break out of Search, entering other Google apps to help you do more with your voice and perform more actions with Search in general.

Leaked Screenshot Shows Alleged Android 4.4.3 Dialer Redesign

Some interesting screenshots have just appeared on XDA that purport to show a new look for the Google Dialer in Android 4.4.3. The contacts are arranged in a series of cards with contact photos instead of a traditional list. It's quite a departure from the current look.

Red HTC One M8 Leaks For, You Guessed It, Verizon

If there's one thing Verizon's known for, it's high prices. Errr, constant changes that end up costing consumers more money. No, that's not right either. Umm...red! That's it. If there's one thing Verizon's know for (aside from high prices and finding ways to charge customers more money) it's red. You know, the color. That's why we call it "Big Red." Heh.

1[5]

Anyway, since Verizon is oft-associated with red, it looks like the company will be getting a red HTC One M8, according to @evleaks. It's unclear whether or not this will be an exclusive handset color for the carrier, but given how much HTC loves to hand out exclusive colors to basically everyone, I'd probably count on it.

Kyocera Brigadier For Verizon Leaked By @evleaks, Might Steal The Ugly Crown From Casio G'zOne

There is an unspoken rule that a ruggedized phone must be ugly as sin. The leaked Kyocera Brigadier sure looks ruggedized, as evidenced by the less than attractive design. What's it look like? Imagine a Casio G'zOne, but perhaps even uglier.

Photos Of The Alleged Samsung Galaxy K (AKA Galaxy S5 Zoom) Posted Before Press Event

The Galaxy S4 Zoom, Samsung's strange combination of a standard Android phone and a point-and-shoot camera, was a bit of an odd duck. But it seems to have sold enough units that Samsung intends to release a new model, if only to continue their strategy of covering every possible cell phone niche. Photos posted on Baidu show what's claimed to be the "Galaxy K," which certainly seems to be an updated version of the S4 Zoom.

Readers will recall that Samsung has set a press event for April 29th in Singapore, coyly including "K" imagery and the phrase "Kapture The Moment" on the invitation.

Google Accidentally Tweets Screenshot Of Updated Dialer App With Blue Action Bar

So the Google Nexus Twitter account was doing some impromptu support for a user and included a screenshot. How helpful! Well, more helpful than they intended it to be. The screenshot shows a slightly tweaked dialer app with a blue action bar. First they took our #33b5e5, now they're coming after the gray. Actually, I think I'm okay with that.
