Android 7.1.2 images and OTA files are now live for Pixel and Nexus devices

After just posting the April security patch builds based on Android 7.1.1 moments ago, Google has now published Android 7.1.2 builds for Pixel and Nexus devices. You can find the images here and the OTAs here. The Nexus Player and Pixel C started to receive 7.1.2 just days ago.

OTAs for the Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, and Nexus Player are live.

[Update: 7.1.2 builds] Nexus and Pixel factory images and OTAs for April 2017 are now available

Factory images and full OTA images for the April security patch are now available for the range of Nexus and Pixel devices. The Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 6, and Nexus 9 all have their respective images up. The Nexus Player and Pixel C appear to be lagging behind at the time of this writing. Samsung updates unlocked US Galaxy S7 to latest security patch, continues to ignore Nougat exists

Samsung has finally issued an update to the unlocked variants of the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge sold in the US (the G930U and G935U, respectively), but it's going to come as bittersweet news for owners: Nougat is not in tow. While the OTA does bring the phones up to the latest Android security patch level, the long-awaited upgrade to Android 7.0 is nowhere to be found.

Pixel C gets the Pixel Launcher, Pixel-style nav buttons, and more in 7.1.2 beta 2 [APK Download]

The Pixel C is still the flagship Android tablet from Google, even though it's more than a year old now. Although, it wasn't really living up to its name. Despite all the new things happening with the Pixel brand, the Pixel C didn't even have the Pixel Launcher. That changes with the new 7.1.2 beta, which adds the Pixel Launcher and Pixel-style nav buttons.

[Update: ZS570KL] Asus pushes Android 7.0 to the ZenFone 3 Deluxe (ZS550KL)

Asus sort of missed the boat with the ZenFone 3 line, which took ages to come out in the US and then wasn't very competitive with other devices. The ZenFone 3 Deluxe was priced similarly to the OnePlus 3, but it wasn't as good. Asus isn't pretending the phone never happened, though. This phone is getting an Android 7.0 update, the first wide rollout of Nougat for Asus.

Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge Nougat updates start appearing in Europe

If you've been waiting with bated breath for Samsung to fulfill its promise to upgrade the Galaxy S6 series to Android 7.0, you can stop waiting... assuming you have one of the GSM unlocked models of the S6 and S6 Edge, that is. According to German tech site Giga.de, users in Europe are starting to see the Nougat update sent out to their phones, starting with at least one S6 Edge owner in Switzerland and continuing in the comments. That means that mainland Europe and the UK are probably looking at updates sometime soon, with the usual delays for localization and server rollout.
