Motorola Rolling Out Android 4.4.3 To Unlocked Moto X, Moto G, And Moto E This Week

As just announced on Motorola's official blog, the company will begin rolling out Android 4.4.3 KitKat to unlocked Mot X, G, and E owners this week. Motorola has made a point of rapid updates since it was acquired and subsequently sold by Google, with Punit Soni acting as the public face of Motorola's software update team.

This update will be rolling out to unlocked (T-Mobile) Moto X owners, the unlocked Moto G (including the new and old 3G variants, as well as LTE the version), and the Moto E.

Unlocked And Developer Edition HTC One (M7) Getting OTA Update With Sense 6 Today

HTC's software versioning is a little more complicated than it is with other Android OEMs. You might have Android 4.4.2, but be lacking many of the features found on a newer device because you have an older version of Sense. Motorola Atrix HD OTA Rolling Out With Security Enhancements, Still Languishing On Jelly Bean 4.1.1

If you happen to own an Atrix HD from AT&T, get ready for something you haven't seen in a very long time: a firmware update. Unfortunately, this is only a "security enhancement" and not an upgrade to the Android operating system. Motorola hasn't specified exactly what this update is supposed to fix, but it's almost certainly a patch for the Heartbleed bug that was widely reported last month.

The last update to the Atrix HD shipped out at the end of 2012, which brought it from 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) to 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean).

Verizon Moto DROID Updates: RAZR M, RAZR HD, And RAZR MAXX HD Get KitKat, DROID Mini, DROID Ultra, And DROID MAXX Get Bugfixes

If you've bought a DROID phone from Verizon and Motorola at some point in the last two generations, you've got an update coming soon. The carrier posted update materials for all 2012 and 2013 Motorola DROIDs: RAZR M, RAZR HD, RAZR MAXX HD, Mini, Ultra, and Maxx. The older phones are getting upgraded to Android 4.4.2, while the newer DROIDs just get a stability update.
