The most recent over-the-air update for the Nexus 9, the one that totally wasn't what you were actually waiting for, has apparently bricked the device for some owners. A couple folks affected by this 5.0.2 issue have taken to Google's product forums to ask what gives.

You know how the Nexus 9 is still waiting to get the Android 5.1 update? Well, there's an OTA update rolling out right now that isn't Android 5.1. When next you see that glorious system update icon, it'll probably be for a build of Android 5.0.2, which is rolling out right now. Oh, Google.
To address several relatively minor problems and requests, Sony's Xperia Z2 and Z3 devices will be getting an update to their firmware. They will remain on 5.0 Lollipop, which speaks to the fact that these are mostly optimizations rather than wholesale changes.
