OnePlus Announces Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update Schedule For The OnePlus One And 2

OnePlus devices run Cyanogen OS or Oxygen OS, but considering the stock look and feel of both, the company's customers are just as eager for the latest version of Android as every one else. Given the nature of OnePlus buyers—many of whom have had to snag an invite to buy their phone—maybe even moreso.

So let's cut to it: The OnePlus One and OnePlus 2 are both scheduled to get Android 6.0 in the first quarter of 2016.

Motorola Starts Android 6.0 Rollout For A Couple Devices, But Brazil And India Only For Now

As part of Google, Motorola garnished a reputation for speedy updates. These days the company has a new owner, and those OTAs don't seem to come out as reliably as they used to. But Motorola hasn't gone back on its promise to bring Marshmallow to something, and now it's beginning its rollout for the 2015 Moto X Style and the 2014 Moto X, according to Senior Director David Schuster.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow Now Live For The HTC One M8 Google Play Edition

Once upon a time, Google got together with OEMs to sell Google Play Edition versions of flagship phones. They were expensive, but here we are in late 2015 and the 2014 HTC One M8 GPE just got Marshmallow. The regular M8? Good luck with that.

Cyanogen OS 12.1 Begins Rolling Out To Yureka And Yureka Plus

Back in the early Gingerbread days, CyanogenMod provided geeks and tinkerers with a way of installing the most up-to-date Android version on virtually any device. It wasn't for everyone, but if you were willing to deal with a few bugs and instability issues, you could easily turn your phone into a quasi-Nexus device running stock-ish Android. Updates are a little slower now that commercial entity Cyanogen Inc. is supporting devices, but two of those phones — the Yureka and Yureka Plus — are being updated to Cyanogen OS 12.1, which is based on Android Lollipop 5.1.

Android 6.0 Firmware For The LG G4 Posted On XDA (H815 Model), Recovery Flash Available

It was only a little over a week ago that we heard that LG was planning a surprisingly quick update to Android 6.0 for its flagship G4 phone, beginning with Poland and expanding out to other territories. We haven't heard anything about an official rollout just yet, but someone's managed to get their hands on a Marshmallow build for the international unlocked version of the G4, model number H815. A KDZ file appeared on the forum yesterday, and it's been adapted into flashable files for users with the TWRP custom recovery already.

We haven't heard of any official over-the-air 6.0 updates for the G4, but the 20A build posted by "autoprime" appears to be a release version or very close to it.

Now, the final build of the new MIUI 7 is set to roll out on October 27th via OTA on supported devices. This version of Android brings a ton of improvements, but it's weirdly still based on KitKat for some devices and Lollipop on others.
