Costco Reduces Price Of Samsung Galaxy Tab To $500 With One Month Of Data From Verizon

Though we still couldn't reliably confirm a similar Galaxy Tab deal at Best Buy, here's a legitimate sale - Costco is selling Samsung's seven-inch tablet for just $499.99. Customers purchasing the device from Costco will also have to pay an activation fee (refundable with a mail-in-rebate) and sign up for at least one month of data from Verizon, who offers the following data plans for the Galaxy Tab:

  • $20/month for 1GB of data
  • $35/month for 3GB of data
  • $50/month for 5GB of data
  • $80/month for 10GB of data

The reduction in price is great for customers who are looking to get a taste of the Android OS in a tablet form factor.

Gameloft Giving Away Hero Of Sparta For Android For Free Today, December 22nd, 2010 (Reg. $4.99)

Gameloft, the game publisher with arguably the most advanced Android games, which you, unfortunately, won't find in the Market (I guess they really hate giving Google the 30% fee), announced its latest daily Christmas promotion. On the 22nd day of December, Gameloft is giving away Hero Of Sparta, an RPG with awesome 3D graphics, for absolutely free.

The game's dedicated page lists it at $4.99, but this special url offers the freebie in exchange for your phone number, which Gameloft promises to use exclusively for sending the download link.

[Update: Possibly Fake] Best Buy Reduces Price Of Verizon's Galaxy Tab To $500 Without Contract

Though it previously retailed for $599, the Verizon version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab can now be purchased from Best Buy without a contract for just $499. The price drop may be an indication that the WiFi-only Galaxy Tab could retail for much less.

Update: It looks like this is fake! Our own source at Best Buy, as well as calls to various brick-and-mortar locations, suggest to us that this is just a case of Photoshop trickery.

US Cellular is really proving itself to be the carrier for holiday shoppers not wanting to spend a small fortune on gifts, isn't it? US Cellular Holiday Promotion Starts December 17th - All Phones Free Until The 24th

US Cellular may not have the most impressive lineup of phones in the world, but it would be hard to say no to getting one of them free nonetheless. And come December 17th, customers will be able to do just that - get any of US Cellular's phones for just $0.00.

T-Mobile G2 On Sale For Just $49.99 On Contract

The T-Mobile G2 is a great phone that would, no doubt, make a fantastic Christmas gift. But up until now, we haven't been treated to many deals on the device (with the exception of Amazon Wireless' Black Friday sale) - obviously not something holiday shoppers are enthusiastic about. That ends today, however, as T-Mobile itself has just trimmed the G2's price tag by $150, making the final price $49.99 on a new two-year contract.

Deal Alert: ViewSonic G Tablet On Sale For $350 At Sears This Friday And Saturday ($50 Off)

The ViewSonic G Tablet is the most powerful Android tablet on the Market today, sporting a dual core Tegra 2 processor and dominating benchmarks, albeit after some tweaks that turn it into a beast. ViewSonic managed to screw up on the software side, which is fixable by the aforementioned tweaks, but the hardware is top notch, making it one of the hottest tablet gifts this holiday season.

Even at $400 or $380 that Sears has been selling it for, this 1GHz 10" Froyo tablet is a great deal, but this weekend, the price is even sweeter: $350, which is $50 off MSRP.

Considering that with the Market hack, Archos 5 gets full access to the Android Market, this little device could end up being the largest portable media hub you can get for the price.

All Droids (Excluding The Pro) Now Part Of Verizon's Holiday Buy One Get One Free Offer

With the cheapest one costing $149.99, Verizon's Droids aren't exactly stocking stuffers, but at least the price comes with double the value now. That's right - the infamous BOGO (buy one, get one free) deal has now been extended to the carrier's flagship Android devices... all except the Droid Pro, that is. Additionally, the original Droid 2 is excluded from the ad despite being part of the deal, most likely because its global brethren already appears in the ad.
