Google's holding a holiday promo of sorts over the next couples of weeks (and it seems to be US-only), and every day will bring a new "surprise" on the Play Store. Through the 1st of January, every day a new promotional offer will appear on the Play Store. Today's offer isn't exactly earth-shattering - $35 off a hotel booking in the Hotel Tonight app (a same-day hotel booking service), but we expect at least some of the offers during this promotion will be worth taking advantage of.
Hot on the heels of Best Buy's daily deal, Amazon wireless has dropped the prices of all its GSIII models to match - with one exception. Instead of knocking Spring's GSIII down to $50/$99 for the 16/32GB respectively, it's now $0.01/$50 for new customers. That's basically a free GSIII!
It's hard to say if this is a permanent change or just something temporary in order to compete with Best Buy, but one thing is certain: this is the best deal we've seen yet on any version of the GSIII.
As always, the closer we get to the holidays, the more deals we see. It's anything but uncommon to see one-day super deals pop up just before Christmas, and today Best Buy is offering the Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon variants of the 16GB Galaxy S III for just $50 and 32GB for $99 (Verizon only) with a two-year agreement. T-Mo customers are stuck paying a bit more, with the 16GB handset coming in at $80 and 32GB variant for $130.
Are you the last one on the block without everybody's favorite 7-inch tablet? Waiting for a good deal before clicking that Buy button? If the 32GB version of the Nexus 7 is the one you're after (and really, why wouldn't it be?) then dust off your eBay account. Beach Camera is offering the Nexus 7 32GB WiFi for $216.99, $33 off of its U.S.
Tis the season, Android shoppers. Today there's a cavalcade of games from a variety of developers on sale in the Google Play Store, as well as some of Loud Crow's interactive books for children. We haven't seen any word of when this sale will end, so if you want any of the games or apps listed above, get 'em while they're hot. First, to the game shelf!
Update 5: It's official – PowerA has run out of free MOGA systems. In a post to Facebook on the matter, PowerA assures readers that "Santa still has something in his bag for you," so we may see another awesome deal soon.
Thank you to all our fans! We have run out of free systems, but Santa still has something in his bag…on.fb.me/TYjALc

Update 4: Well this has been a roller coaster – it seems the promo code is once again working.
Portable chargers are an increasingly desirable accessory in the smartphone era, and having two or three stashed away (like one in your glovebox for emergencies) is never a bad call. If you're looking to do it on the cheap, we've got a deal today that's definitely one you should hop on.
Amazon's offering a 5000mAh Vaas portable charger with dual USB ports, and actually includes six different USB tips right in the box for $14.99.
If you're looking for a tablet that can also function as a laptop, it's hard to beat ASUS' Transformer series. And out of the current lineup, the reigning champ is definitely the Infinity. Its 1900x1200 display is one of the best you can get in an Android tablet, and the 1.7GHz quad-core Tegra 3 keeps things running smoothly. Plus, when coupled with the keyboard dock, the battery life is pretty phenomenal.
Amazon's Gold Box deals are some of my favorite discounts to check out every morning. In fact, outside of the Gold Box, the only other deal destinations I regularly visit are Amazon-owned MyHabit and TouchOfModern, a site full of inspiration and ultramodernism.
But back to the deal. If you've been eying Amazon's latest Kindle Fire HD 8.9" tablet (remember all those holidays that are coming at us fast?), today's Gold Box deal of the day should most definitely make it easier to pull the trigger.
If David convinced you last week with his testimony concerning his phablet conversion, you're looking to jump on the plus-sized bandwagon, and you're looking to get on Sprint, then today might be a good day to pull the metaphorical trigger. As of right now, Amazon Wireless is selling the Galaxy Note II for $149. Normally the carrier charges twice that much, though we've seen it for cheaper before.
Unfortunately, the phones are both backordered, so shipping will take 1-2 weeks.
