Unified Remote, in short, is a great app. Its claim to being "easily the most feature-filled PC remote" may have merit, as Artem will attest. The app, in conjunction with a PC-compatible server, will allow your device to control your mouse, keyboard, and favorite software (think Spotify, Winamp, VLC, Hulu, iTunes, etc.) via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

Besides having impressive (and incredibly handy) functionality, Unified Remote impresses with a clean, easy-to-use interface.

If you're intrigued by the idea of wearable technology, but don't see the Pebble's appeal, or don't have the patience to wait for Google Glass or any of the other rumored wearable goodies coming from Apple, Samsung, or Google (depending on who you ask), Motorola's MOTOACTV, the fitness-tracking smartwatch, may be a good starting point.

The MOTOACTV, which debuted in 2011, is a smartwatch that positions itself as mainly a fitness tool, tracking your runs and slapping some maps and music on top of it for a nice experience.

It's Friday, at least here in the western hemisphere, and a bunch developers seem to have decided to discount their apps. Everything from triple-A games to handy tools are on sale up to 80%. Some have even gone free. Without any further ado, let's get to the deals - if you can't see the widgets right away, wait for the page to load them all. Keep in mind that the widgets below may not reflect current prices.

The Galaxy Note 10.1, Samsung's creativity-minded, advanced digitizer-packing slab from last year has been a lot of places – everywhere from the crazy life of James Franco to the music stands of the Brussels Philharmonic. If you've followed the 10.1's life so far, but haven't pulled the trigger to buy a unit for yourself, you're in luck – Woot.com has a deal on the tablet, offering up the 16GB variant, refurbished, for $329.99, while the tablet, new, usually sells for around $449.

Update 4/9/13: The deal is back today.

Those who missed out on eBay Daily Deals' recurring deal on the Nexus 7 ($30 VISA gift card, ear buds, 32GB Nexus 7 for $259.99) the last four times we've seen it, Daily Deals has pulled through once again, this time with a significantly better price. Though the 32GB slates up for grabs are refurb and don't come with a random pair of earbuds, $189 is an undeniably good price for a 32GB Nexus 7 which, if new, would cost buyers $249.99 from the Play Store.

At this point, we've covered the benefits of having a portable charger/battery pack so much that you probably have all the reasons to buy one engrained in your memory. If you still haven't invested in one (or need to upgrade), however, tech.woot has a pretty solid deal on a couple of chargers from uNu.

The 5,000mAh Enerpak Tube is going for a mere $34, while its larger brother – the 11,000mAh Enerpak Vault – is available for $50.

HTC's newest flagship is doing its best to turn heads with innovative features and funky buzzword-branding. If you've been sipping the Kool-Aid and simply must have this up-and-coming powerhouse, Wirefly's got a pretty solid deal if you are (or plan on being) a Sprint customer: you can pre-order either the silver or black variants for $150.

With that said, if you're switching carriers and plan on porting your number, then Sprint's pre-order offering is still a better deal at only $99.

As the launch of the Galaxy S IV fast approaches, the prices on last year's model (which is still less than a year old) is bound to drop. In fact, it's already begun with this deal on the unlocked international model currently going for $379 on eBay Daily Deals. This model packs 16GB of internal storage, which makes it only $20 more expensive than the comparable Nexus 4.

This deal is only available in limited quantities, so we can't say how long it will last, especially at this price.

Looks like it's time for another set of app sales to lead you into the weekend. This one's a pretty short list (for now), but that doesn't mean it's not a good one – we've got a unique Twitter client, a throwback game, an unlikely hero, an interesting puzzler, and a new way to watch videos. Here's how to order.
