After five years, ADW Launcher has returned with a version 2.0. It looks pretty sweet, and there's an in-app unlock for the premium version that disables ads and tosses you a few new features, and by a few, I mean a ton. Including no ads. Here are all of said features. Read More
Samsung's Galaxy S7 is one of the most impressive Android smartphones released to date, and this is not just my opinion, but that of almost everyone I've talked to about the phone. It has a fantastic build quality and finishing, one of the best displays we've seen, a powerful processor (regardless if it's the Exynos or Snapdragon version), a capable camera, and decent-to-amazing battery life.

We're big fans of cross-device sync here at Android Police. Therefore, we're of the opinion that if you haven't yet heard of joaomgcd's latest app, you're missing out. Join is a bit like Pushbullet, in that it can do Android-to-desktop notifications, desktop SMS, and a cross-device clipboard. But it can do a lot more; for example, you can set your Android wallpaper through Chrome simply by right-clicking on an image of your choice and selecting "Set image as wallpaper."
Join has a fully-featured, ad-supported trial period of 30 days, costing $4.99 if you want to keep using it, although it's currently down to $3.99 for a limited time. Read More
I'm going to be real with you guys: it's been a long while since I've flashed a ROM on any of my devices. Stock Android has gotten so good for me personally that I just haven't really gotten around to experimenting with anything new. That said, I definitely appreciate that the option is there for everyone out there who isn't happy with their device's software. And if I were to flash something right now, there's about a 100 percent chance that it'd be CyanogenMod.
For those of you who are already rocking CM's latest on your device, we have a pretty solid giveaway for you: 50 codes for CM Downloader Premium. Read More
We've been working with Blu for quite a while now, and the company has been putting out some of its best phones to date over the last few months. With the release of the Life One X (2016) and Vivo 5, Blu has once again set the bar for what a "budget" phone can — and should — be. For $150 and $200 respectively, these are two of the absolute best phones that are available on the market today in this price range.
This contest is now over.
The final results are listed below. If you've won, you will be contacted in the near future.
USB Type-C is the new hotness, and we're already seeing several manufacturers adopt the new (and improved) technology. The newest Google handsets and tablet all have Type-C, the LG G5 will have it, and even companies like Blu have moved to this tech for its newest Vivo phones. Whether we're ready or not, this is something that we'll see even more of moving forward.
While USB Type-C is essentially superior to its predecessor in every way, it's still a huge pain to move from something that's been around as long as microUSB. There's a good chance you have cables and chargers aplenty, and giving up the luxury of having multiple chargers pretty much sucks. Read More
