At this very moment in time, the new Nexus 7 is probably the hottest tablet on the planet. There's a good reason for that, too: Google built on what it started last year with the first gen N7, improving it in almost every way. The new generation has a faster processor, double the RAM, and a higher-resolution display, just to name some of the most obvious changes. Early reviews of the device (worry not, ours is on the way) have praised it almost endlessly, proving that Google really hit the mark with its newest small tablet.

Are you an Android developer who's curious about getting started with the NDK? Or maybe you'd just like to see what C/C++ can do as opposed to Java. Or maybe... there's another reason. I dunno. What I do know, however, is that Packt Publishing's Android Native Development Kit Cookbook ($25/$50) probably has the answer you're looking for.

This contest is now over.

The final results are listed below. If you've won, you will be contacted in the near future.

If you're sick of snagging the cable from your earbuds on everything possibly imaginable, then there's but one solution for you: a set of Bluetooth 'buds. Ridding yourself of those pesky cables has been proven to improve one's quality of life by up to 19%, according to a recent study that I just made up.

But seriously, a set of Bluetooth buds/headphones can easily make life less annoying. And while we've reviewed several different sets over the last year (give or take), the Bluebuds X from Jaybird ($170) just may be the "best of" in that realm – Artem definitely loved them.

Andrew Bell is a genius. Or a madman. Or both. Probably both, actually. If you're not familiar with Mr. Bell, you're missing out on some of the best Android paraphernalia memorabilia that you'll find on the net – of course, I'm talking about those awesome Android figurines available exclusively through Dead Zebra. Every Android fan loves those guys.

That's not all Andrew has been up to these days, either. He's been hard at work creating these incredible Android propaganda prints, stylistically designed to replicate those from the 30s/40s.

There comes a time in every smartphone owner's life when upgrading is necessary. Sometimes it's by choice; other times by necessity. Either way, we're usually left with an aging phone we no longer use (or want, in most cases), which gets thrown in a drawer and forgotten. Poor little guys. Let's all take a moment of silence in honor of all the smartphones that have been replaced and thrown to the wayside to be forgotten.

For consumers, NFC is an extremely useful tool for making like easier. It can be used for everything from simple task automation to quick Bluetooth pairing and tap-to-pay transactions. For developers, it can be a way to bring new life to an application, create something different, or just simplify an existing offering. Of course, in order to incorporate any newly adopted technology into an application, the developer has to learn the ins and outs, as well as any limitations that could cause issues.
