In the spirit of Halloween, let's give some stuff away! It's about treats after all - isn't it? And what better treat is there than free gadgets?
Since this is a Halloween giveaway, let's talk about the undead for a moment, shall we? In fact, let's get specific - let's talk about killing the undead with an assault vehicle made for mowing 'em down. Sound familiar? It should, because I'm talking about the newly released Tegra-exclusive title Zombie Driver.
It's like Twisted Metal with zombies. If that doesn't get your motor running, then you aren't human. In which case you're probably undead, and we'll have to slaughter you.
It's time again for another shirt giveaway and sale! Last time around we gave out five of these crowd-favorite shirts. Today, we're back with ten more! If you don't want to miss out, though, LOL Shirts is also running a sale on thesethreeshirts. Enter coupon code 4OFFNOW to knock $4 off the normal price ($12.99). Not a bad deal.
The contest is now over. Here are the winners, chosen at random:
Congratulations - you will be contacted for your information in the near future!
If you don't listen to our podcast, here's a reason to for the next four weeks: we're giving away a bunch of tablets, courtesy of NVIDIA and Android Police. You'll have to listen to the live show to be eligible, which is every Thursday at 5PM PST (8PM EST), at www.androidpolice.com/podcast - make sure you're in the IRC chat room! We promise not to take an inordinately long amount of time to pick winners, but don't expect them to go out in the first 5 minutes, either. How do you win? Well, we're still figuring that one out.
But what we can tell you what you'll have a chance to win tonight.
If you haven't read our review of the LG Optimus G, you should definitely check it out - this is one powerhouse of a phone. And, courtesy of AT&T, you can win one on this very page. You can also pre-order the Optimus G directly from AT&T, for $199.99 on a new 2-year agreement, at this link.
The AT&T Optimus G is packing a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with 2GB of RAM, and I can tell you from first-hand experience that it is fast. In fact, it's easily the quickest smartphone I've ever used, and the 4.7" True HD IPS display is one of the very best I've seen on any handset.
Have you heard? The fourth AnDevCon (Android Developer Conference) is happening on December 4-7 in the SF Bay area. And with more than 80 classes and workshops, this will be the biggest one yet. There will be sessions held by reps from some of the industry's leading companies, including Groupon, Intel, Facebook, and, of course, Google.
AnDevCon IV will offer one day of intensive workshops, followed by three days of technical classes. More than 1,500 software developers, engineers, and entrepreneurs from 40 nations are projected to attend and choose from 70+ classes to bring Android open source development to a high level.
For many people, cases and mounts are a part of life with a mobile device. The problem is, however, that many users aren't willing to sacrifice style for functionality. What if you could have both, though? Thanks to a new product from Rokform for the Galaxy S III, that's more possible than ever.
The Rokbed for the GSIII is Rokform's first endeavor outside the iOS world, and it looks like they hit it out of the part. The case itself features an edgy-yet-sophisticated design, as well as a bit of additional functionality: a magnet that allows the case to attach to other available accessories.
As you probably know, the Big Android BBQ is coming up on October 19-21 in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX area. If you didn't know, don't stress - you can still get a ticket. But hurry - they're only on sale until the 19th.
In celebration of the BBQ, Dead Zebra - the creator of those awesome little Android figurines that everyone loves - has crafted some to commemorate the occasion!
These little guys will be on sale at the BBQ for $20 a set - but we also have three sets to give away. That is why you're here, after all!
You know who loves giving stuff away as much as we do? Handy Apps. They're always down with offering up some cool gear to hand out, and today, we have a couple of 16GB Nexus 7s for two lucky readers. One of them could be you!
Photo Wall FX - Live Wallpaper
So, what's the occasion? The release of their new app Photo Wall FX! PWFX is a neat take on the live wallpaper. Instead of having some fancy floating junk, some sort of nifty little interactive crap, or whatever else most LWPs offer these days, Photo Wall FX uses your images in a sort-of collage.
Winners have been selected, and will be contacted shortly. They are:
too oh ate
Thanks to everyone who entered!
Do you like portable speakers? Do you like free things? Then have we got a mashup for you - because Android Police and Braven are giving away two of the awesome Braven 600 portable Bluetooth speakers. I loved the 600 when I reviewed it. It's solidly put together, and the sound it produces definitely belies its price tag.
How to enter
First things first, this contest is open to the US only (sorry!). To enter, just leave a comment on this page - that's it.
Smartphones are the new portable gaming systems. And MP3 players, point & shoot cameras, calendars, on-the-go email machines, and social networking devices. Simply put, smartphones work hard for us. As a result, the battery drains quickly. Oftentimes too quickly.
That's why Seidio is offering up three 3,500mAh extended batteries and three desktop charging cradles for the Galaxy S III to three lucky readers.
As stated above, we have some battery/charging cradle combos to give away. But what exactly are they?

If you find yourself running out of juice halfway through the day, this is the battery for you.
