Remember yesterday, when we introduced you to an adorable USB charger named Andru? In case you missed it, Andru, from Gen, is a cute Android accessory that "wants to charge your phone." This little guy is not only a USB charger, but an awesome cubicle decoration. Modeled after the bugdroid we all know and love, Andru's power-plug legs can be hidden by a matching base, he has moveable arms, and his eyes light up blue, making Andru perhaps the most dynamic, fun USB charger you'll ever encounter. Luckily for our readers, Power by Gen has given us 4 Andru ...

You're already a web developer, master of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You have a great idea for an Android App, but your particular skill set doesn't help you create that app. Or does it? O'Reilly media just released a 176-page 2nd edition of "Building Android Apps with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript" by Jonathan Stark and Brian Jepson that explains how to do just that.

While the event doesn't actually kick off until May 14, 2012, you can stick a solid $550 back in your pocket by picking up your tickets before March 2 - a pretty substantial savings. Unless you don't like saving money, of course.

So, what's AnDevCon all about? Developers, baby. It's four days of classes, exhibits, and networking, all built for developers, by developers. No marketing people, carriers, or manufacturers hanging around to ...

If so, it's probably time to kick your game up to the next level by mastering application security. Luckily for you, O'Reilly Media recently published a new book on the topic, titled "Application Security for the Android Platform: Processes, Permissions, and Other Safeguards." We know, we told you our holiday giveaway series would feature some of our largest contests to date. And it did - we gave away over a dozen tablets and nearly as many phones to our readers. But we thought we'd start the new year off with our biggest giveaway yet (an international one, to boot) - 10 Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphones, courtesy of our amazingly generous friends at AVAST Software.

This contest is now over. There were over 13,500 entries, making it our largest contest ever by a huge margin (unsurprisingly). Apologies for the long wait - it
