While you may miss out on some of the sweet devices exclusive to U.S. carriers - the EVO 4G comes to mind - there's also the chance for some benefits, such as the recent July release of the international model of the Samsung Galaxy S II.

Thankfully, living at such northern latitudes won't cost us the opportunity to get our mitten-clad hands on the next Nexus device. While we have known this for a while, the details as to who will carry the Galaxy Nexus and when we can expect it to hit shelves have dropped today.<div

Rogers Wireless announced today that true 4G speeds are available to customers in <a

At the time of launch, the only LTE device available to consumers is the Sierra Wireless AirCard 313U, a mobile "LTE Rocket stick" for laptops. On October 18, the Galaxy S II and the Sierra AirCard 754S mobile hotspot to follow in the weeks after.<div

More information about this monster device has now surfaced, and it is chocked full of upgrades.

Aside from the inclusion of LTE connectivity, this device will be housing a 1.5GHz processor (most likely Exynos), NFC, and a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display, making this the most likely candidate for beastliest device of the year.

No exact release date is available just yet, only that it will be available sometime this fall. Congrats, Canada - I'm officially jealous.<div
