The Galaxy S4 is available from the standard nationwide wireless providers, Rogers, Bell, Virgin, and TELUS, in addition to MVNOs and regional carriers like Fido, Videotron, Eastlink, and Koodo. Prices range from $199 Canadian with a three-year contract from the "big three" to just shy of $700 for an off-contract model, which is pretty standard for new premium models in Canada. </p>
<p align="center"><a href="http://cdn.androidpolice.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/nexusae0_stan-rogers-s4.jpg"><img title="stan rogers s4" alt="stan rogers s4" src="http://cdn.androidpolice.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/nexusae0_stan-rogers-s4_thumb.jpg" width="668" height="347"/></a></p>
<p>Which one you choose will, naturally, depend on your personal preference and location. Rogers, Bell, TELUS, Virgin, and Eastlink all have the same $200/$700 price for on-contract and off, though Rogers currently has a promotion for a free Kindle Paperwhite 3G when you sign a 3-year contract.<div class=clear></div> <a href="http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/05/03/samsung-galaxy-s4-now-available-on-canadian-carriers-rogers-bell-telus-virgin-and-more/" class="read_more"><div class=excerpt-end><img src=http://www.androidpolice.com/wp-content/themes/ap1/images/read_on.png /></div></a></p><div style='clear: both'><b>Done With This Post? Right now, this only includes customers on Bell, Rogers, and TELUS. LG says that SaskTel users will receive the OTA in "late March", which suggests it should begin shipping only a few days behind the other carriers. This version bump will bring support for Google Now, offline speech recognition, expandable notifications, and several other goodies. LG has also packaged a few of its own improvements, but seems to have left out an upgraded QSlide 2.0. Here is the full changelog, provided by <a href="http://mobilesyrup.com/2013/03/18/lg-optimus-g-jelly-bean-upgrade-coming-to-bell-rogers-and-telus-late-march" target="_blank">MobileSyrup</a>:</p>
<ul>
<li>Touch performance improvement
</li><li>A simpler user interface for complex features such as WiFi-Direct and Miracast combined
</li><li>Multimedia file transfer through Android Beam
</li><li>Lock front key feature for QuickMemo
</li><li>A memo scribble feature
</li><li>Notification bar enhancements
</li><li>Google Now support
</li><li>Offline Voice recognition and typing
</li><li>Quick Translator
</li><li>Exchange task sync support </li>
</ul>
<p>The update appears to be available only as an OTA, so just keep watching for the notification.<div class=clear></div> <a href="http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/03/21/bell-rogers-and-telus-pushing-jelly-bean-4-1-2-update-to-lg-optimus-g-sasktel-trailing-close-behind/" class="read_more"><div class=excerpt-end><img src=http://www.androidpolice.com/wp-content/themes/ap1/images/read_on.png /></div></a></p><div style='clear: both'><b>Done With This Post? <p>AT&#38;T started pushing Jelly Bean (4.1.2) to its variant of the Xperia T (the TL) <a href="http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/03/01/jelly-bean-android-4-1-2-now-available-for-atts-sony-xperia-tl/" target="_blank">earlier this month</a>, but Rogers apparently wasn't far behind. The Canadian carrier just made the update available to its Xperia T, which should bring all the same goodies that the AT&#38;T and International versions already have. Namely: </p>
<div class="fancy_blockquote"><blockquote><div class="quote_left"></div><ul>

So AT&#38;T, T-Mobile, and Sprint customers in the United States will be glad to hear that their carriers are already confirmed to get HTC's shiny new flagship. Both AT&#38;T and T-Mobile have reached out to us directly with confirmation, and Sprint is listed in HTC's official press release along with regional carrier Cincinnati Bell. Sprint had a sign-up page available briefly, but it seems to have disappeared. Sorry, Verizon users, you'll just have to make do with the DROID DNA for the time being.<div class=clear></div> <a href="http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/02/19/htc-one-comes-to-america-att-t-mobile-and-sprint-confirm-release-plans-canadian-carriers-too/" class="read_more"><div class=excerpt-end><img src=http://www.androidpolice.com/wp-content/themes/ap1/images/read_on.png /></div></a></p><div style='clear: both'><b>Done With This Post? <p>Hey Rogers guys – did you think HTC forgot about you? Turns out they didn't, as the Android 4.1 update is making its way to your variant of the One X as I type this. Exciting, no? </p>
<p align="center"><a href="http://cdn.androidpolice.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/nexusae0_117.png"><img title="1" style="display: inline" alt="1" src="http://cdn.androidpolice.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/nexusae0_1_thumb11.png" width="350" height="622"/></a></p>
<p>The update – which should clock in at around 635MB – brings all sorts of goodies to the flagship device, including Sense 4+, Google Now, Project Butter, and... some more stuff. Unfortunately, there's nary a changelog in sight so we can't tell you exactly what else to expect. In fact, the OTA is so fresh, even Rogers hasn't updated its <a href="http://communityforums.rogers.com/t5/forums/forumtopicpage/board-id/GeneralCareSupport/thread-id/355" target="_blank">OS update page</a> just yet.<div class=clear></div> <a href="http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/01/08/jelly-bean-android-4-1-now-rolling-out-to-the-htc-one-x-on-rogers/" class="read_more"><div class=excerpt-end><img src=http://www.androidpolice.com/wp-content/themes/ap1/images/read_on.png /></div></a></p><div style='clear: both'><b>Done With This Post? <p>It's been a long time coming, hasn't it Canadian GSIII owners? You've sat back and watched Jelly Bean roll out to GSIIIs across the globe over the last several weeks, and there you were - <em>forced</em> to deal with ICS. It's a hard knock life. </p>
<p>But no more! Things are starting to look up - the 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update is now making its way to handsets all across Canada. GSIII owners on Bell, Telus, SaskTel, and Rogers should all be getting the OTA any time now - head into Settings &#62; About phone to see if it's available on your device.<div class=clear></div> <a href="http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/12/03/android-4-1-1-rolling-out-now-to-the-galaxy-s-iii-on-bell-telus-sasktel-and-rogers-in-canada/" class="read_more"><div class=excerpt-end><img src=http://www.androidpolice.com/wp-content/themes/ap1/images/read_on.png /></div></a></p><div style='clear: both'><b>Done With This Post? <p>The past hour has been full of <em>Motorola</em> <em>this,</em> and<em> RAZR that</em> for most of us here in the US, but what about our brothers (and sisters) to the north? If you want some RAZR HD love, Rogers is the place to be. The <em>only </em>place to be, in fact, at least for an LTE version of the device. </p>
<p align="center"><a href="http://cdn.androidpolice.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/nexusae0_RAZRHDLTE_Dyn_R_vert_Hero_CAN_ENG1.jpg"><img style="display: inline" title="RAZRHDLTE_Dyn_R_vert_Hero_CAN_ENG" alt="RAZRHDLTE_Dyn_R_vert_Hero_CAN_ENG" src="http://cdn.androidpolice.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/nexusae0_RAZRHDLTE_Dyn_R_vert_Hero_CAN_ENG_thumb1.jpg" width="400" height="811"/></a></p>
<p>Motorola just announced that the <a href="http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/09/05/droid-razr-and-maxx-hd-verizon-official-4-7-720p-display-1-5ghz-snapdragon-s4-android-4-0/">newly-unveiled</a> RAZR HD will be making its Canadian debut exclusively on Rogers Wireless in all of its 4.7" glory. The device is virtually identical to Verizon's offering:</p>
<ul>
<li>4.7" SAMOLED HD 720p display with Gorilla Glass
</li><li>1.5GHz dual-core processor (most likely MSM8960 Snapdragon)
</li><li>Android 4.0.4
</li><li>Rogers 4G LTE
</li><li>1GB RAM
</li><li>Bluetooth 4.0
</li><li>16GB (12GB usable) internal storage for HD
</li><li>8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera
</li><li>microSD slot
</li><li>2500mAh battery for RAZR HD
</li><li>NFC-enabled (no mention of Wallet)
</li><li>Android 4.0</li>
</ul>
<p>Much like the US Droid RAZR HD, there's no certain release date yet, only that it will be release "this fall." </p>

<p>In a <a href="http://www.bluetooth.org/tpg/QLI_viewQDL.cfm?qid=19622">Bluetooth SIG listing</a> (a trade certification group), LG has officially confirmed the existence of the E970 and LS970. The former is possibly headed for AT&#38;T (it has AT&#38;T GSM and LTE bands - which could mean Rogers as well) and is packing a <a href="http://www.phonearena.com/news/LG-E970-for-AT-T-with-Adreno-320-GPU-comes-out-on-top-of-graphics-benchmarks_id30635">quad-core Qualcomm S4 Krait chip</a>, complete with the latest Adreno 320 GPU goes toe-for-toe with the Galaxy SIII in GLBencmark. The 1280x768 resolution is something of an oddity - why the extra 48 pixels? A 13MP rear camera and 2GB of RAM round of this beefy device's specs. It's actually quite similar to the upcoming Optimus LTE2, so we could be seeing a carrier-specific iteration of that hardware here.<div class=clear></div> <a href="http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/06/14/lg-confirms-in-bluetooth-sig-that-e970-ls970-headed-to-north-america-this-fall/" class="read_more"><div class=excerpt-end><img src=http://www.androidpolice.com/wp-content/themes/ap1/images/read_on.png /></div></a></p><div style='clear: both'><b>Done With This Post? <p>While Canadian carriers Virgin and Bell have had Google's newest flagship phone gracing their shelves since December 8th of <em>last year</em> (that makes it sound so long ago, doesn't it?), competitors Rogers and Telus are finally getting their piece of the Nexus pie on January 13th. </p>
