AT&T Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge Finally Get Marshmallow

Owners of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge on America's #2 carrier are in for a new sweet treat. It would appear that AT&T has begun rolling out a Marshmallow update for both devices. In addition to the host of goodies provided by Google and Samsung, there are also some welcome omissions from the Death Star in terms of bloatware. The update removes Keeper, Facebook Messenger, and AT&T Live, and moves AT&T Mail and YP Mobile from the permanent install to "virtual" preload, meaning you should now be able to uninstall the apps if you so desire.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Active Leaked In Mega-Gaudy Gold Color

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Active for AT&T has been leaked already, but that was the army green camo variant. You expect the Active to look like that. Now, the GS7 Active has leaked in what can only be described as the gaudiest rugged phone ever envisioned. That's the gold GS7 Active above, or as Evan Blass jokes, it's "desert camo."

T-Mobile Adds Video From Spotify, Tidal, NBC, Univision, Noggin, And More To Binge On Service

Despite some technical objections, T-Mobile's unlimited video streaming option Binge On has proven to be a hit with the company's customers, just as the audio equivalent Music Freedom was before it. With these two programs, T-Mobile customers aren't charged against their data caps for watching or listening on participating services. Today Binge On expands to a few new services, and existing Music Freedom services are adding at least some video content to Binge On.

Republic Wireless Brings Its A Game: New GSM Partner And Plenty Of Modern Devices To Choose From Starting July

I never thought there would be a day when I'd know this much about US carriers and MVNOs, but this is what happens when you work on a US-based site like Android Police. Republic Wireless though comes a lot less often on our radar, and I just discovered why. Until now, the MVNO only had a couple of devices to choose from. Literally, a couple: the Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen) and Moto E (2nd Gen). It also seems to be ahead of its times, relying on Wi-Fi calling and piggy-backing on Sprint's network when Wi-Fi isn't available.

But things are about to improve by a few leaps and bounds for Republic Wireless.

HTC Says That Marshmallow Updates For The AT&T Versions Of The One M8 And One M9 Will Start On May 12th (Tomorrow)

We've mentioned it before, but Mo Versi of HTC's American division is a good dude. Any given day you can find him on Twitter, answering questions from HTC customers and giving out juicy info on the next major software releases from the company. If every Android manufacturer had someone like Mo, the world would be a better place... and maybe our comment section wouldn't seem so bitter and despondent. Anyway, his latest tidbit is that the AT&T variants of the HTC One M8 and One M9 will be updated to Marshmallow starting tomorrow.
