Google Releases Chrome Beta Channel For Android

Ready to try the latest version of Chrome for Android, but don't want to wait for the updates to hit the stable channel? No worries – Google just released an official beta channel for Chrome for Android. This new channel should "release early and release often" according to the Chrome blog, so you'll always have the latest build smokin' out of Google's servers.

Of course, "beta" comes at a cost – sometimes it's at the cost of stability, sometimes it's at the cost of borked features.

3 Reasons To Be Excited For NVIDIA's Project Shield - And 3 Reasons Not To Be

Like a lot of you, I watched NVIDIA's press conference with my jaw firmly on the floor when Project Shield was unveiled. It's a true Android gaming portable, built from the ground up to make a great gaming experience - not a phone or a tablet that also plays games, with varying degrees of efficiency, like Sony's now outdated Xperia Play or Archos' Gamepad. And it's made by NVIDIA, the company with the most to gain by expanding the platform's gaming horizons.

[New App] Fitocracy Makes Its Way To Android, Puts A Little RPG In Your Workout Routine

Somewhere within the depths of the internet are entire subcultures of people who do things. Among those people are ones who like to work out – you know, it's their thing. Their schtick, even. Some of these guys actually happen to cross over into geekdom at one point or another. Crazy, I know. Somewhere along the lines, these fitness-nut/geek hybrids got together and created a game. And a social network.

Facebook Pages Manager For Android Finally Installable In US, UK, And Everywhere Else The Play Store Is Available

A few days ago, Facebook quietly released its Pages Manager app for Android to the Play Store. The app, which had been making iOS-toting page managers' lives easier for quite some time, was a welcome addition, save for one thing: it could only be installed in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand, leaving US users in the dark.

It appears that's changed today. The Pages Manager app, in an update too small to warrant a change log, opened up to those in the US.

[CES 2013] Redbox Instant Set To Launch By March, According To Verizon CEO

Hi, my name is Eric Ravenscraft and I'm an addict. I have a weakness for trying out new online media services. I've signed up and, where applicable, paid for Spotify, Rdio, MOG, Rhapsody, Pandora, Last.fm, Jamendo, Grooveshark, Netflix, Hulu Plus, Epix, Crackle, Amazon Instant Video, Google Play, and virtually every other movie and music streaming service on the internet. So it bugs me that I haven't yet been invited to add Redbox Instant to my collection of collections.

Redbox Instant Updated To Support The Nexus 10, Still Won't Work On Rooted Devices

We have some good news, and some bad news. First, the good news: Redbox Instant was just updated with support for the Nexus 10! Now you can stream movies to your heart's content on that big, beautiful display. Fantastic.

And the bad news: it still won't work if you're rooted. So, if you were rejoicing that you can finally use it on your N10, you can probably stop now if it's rooted.

[New Game] The Great Fusion Is An Adventure Game That Hates The Future... In A Fun Way

The middle class is disappearing. The national debt is big enough to fill Cowboys Stadium with hundred dollar bills. Here Comes Honey Boo Boo gets 2.5 million viewers an episode. The future of America looks bleak, folks - so let's celebrate it in point-and-click form. The Great Fusion is an old-school point-and-click adventure in the vein of Leisure Suit Larry, Monkey Island et al. It paints a worrisome picture of the year 2022, when the United States has collapsed and hope for the future is lost.

ShaqDown Arrives On The Play Store - All The Mutant Zombies You Can Throw A Basketball At For $0.99

Well, that didn't take that long at all. Less than a month after we first heard about Shaquille O'Neal starring in a post-apocalyptic game that features mutant zombies (yes, you read that right), it's already released! The not-quite-sequel to Shaq Fu, a game so bad that people devote actual time and money to liberating it from existence, brandishes an entirely different gameplay style. Whereas the original was a fighting game along the lines of Mortal Kombat, this game is closer to the second week of Dikembe Mutombo's 4 1/2 Weeks To Save The World.
