Late last month, we heard that the 20th anniversary edition of the cult classic platformer Another World (also known as Out of this World) would be coming to Android on March 16th. If you happened to check the calendar today, then you would know that today is, in fact, the 16th. If you combine the information from the first two sentences of this post, then there is only one possible conclusion: Another World 20th Anniversary Edition is out today!

A new Android Market Google Play Store v3.5.15 (an update to v3.4.7) is very slowly trickling through to Android users everywhere, and we managed to snag an APK you can download and install right now (thanks, Chad Winner!). After playing with it for a few minutes, the most obvious change is most definitely in the My Applications UI, although I did find a few more (thanks to everyone who helped out).

Jean-Sebastien Royer, a developer making his debut on Google's Play Store, recently released Kainy – an app that promises to allow users to stream games from their PC over a Wi-Fi, 3G, or 4G connection. The first problem that comes to mind with this concept is devising a cohesive and broadly applicable control scheme. Addressing that in perhaps the most logical (and ingenious) way possible, Kainy allows users to create customized control layouts for each game.

The team behind the awesome GO suite of apps have brought the functionality and style of GO Launcher to Android-powered tablets everywhere today (as long as they're running 3.0+), bringing GO Launcher HD out of beta. You may remember our beta coverage earlier this month, in which we got a sneak peak at GO's tablet launcher, and it looks like little has changed. For a launcher that aims to be minimally intrusive yet offer a ton of functionality, however, that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Here in the States, we call it soccer, which actually makes little sense. Our neighbors across the pond have a more accurate term for the game, however: football. To be honest, I'm not really sure where the crossing of terms came into play, but football in the U.S. is definitely not the same game as football in other countries. Regardless of what you call it, EA just released a new game for all who love the thought of kicking a ball into a net: FIFA 2012.

Sure, Hulu may still be struggling with supporting even a majority of Android devices, but who needs that mess when the CW has an app? Well, yes, people who want to watch shows by any of the other networks, but now all of the CW's top shows are available on (some of) your phones and tablets in their full-episode glory.

It's not quite the complete library experience we've all been hoping for that some shows occasionally get on Hulu or Netflix, but all of the 12 shows available come with 5 episodes each which, we assume, will be the five most recent episodes unless a show is on hiatus, as is the typical custom with most major streaming sources.

Those who know me or follow me on Google+ know that I love Mass Effect. Actually, that may be a bit of an understatement; I've had 4 characters that played every single mission and side-mission in both the first and second game, and I just finished the trilogy a few days ago. And now, I have a new way to show my love: with a new Mass Effect 3 live wallpaper (LWP) from NVIDIA and BioWare.

Widgets are one of Android's best advantages over other mobile platforms. Unfortunately, not as many app developers give attention to widgets as we'd like, which only makes us appreciate Beautiful Widgets even more. The famous clock/weather/battery widget developer, LevelUp Studio, is updating its suite of widgets with support for multiple weather forecasts and, more awesome than that, a web store for discovering/installing widget skins.

Taking a cue from Google's Play Store*, you can connect your Google account to the Beautiful Widgets Skins Market and automagically send skins to your device over the air and apply them without ever touching your device.

When organizing an event, it's proper to send out some form of notification (otherwise, no one will know that you're having an event and, thus, not show up). Some people still use that old-school mail thing that involves paper, stamps, and some other stuff - but c'mon, let's be honest here - this is the 21st century and we're geeks. It's a whole lot easier to grab your mobile and shoot out a few texts from the comfort of your couch, albeit highly informal.

If you've been longing for some sort of old-school Gamecube action on your Android device and happen to love monkeys trapped in transparent balls, then today is your lucky day - Sega released Super Monkey Ball 2: Sakura Edition in all of its pink fluffy goodness to the Android Market Play Store.

For the uninitiated, Super Monkey Ball is a classic game in which you control one of four playable monkeys encased in a translucent ball  though a series of twists and turns to reach the goal.
