If you're not familiar with the 8-bit adventures developed by OrangePixel (see some of our past coverage here, and here), you should probably check them out. Their latest and greatest, Meganoid 2 - the sequel to their most popular title, Meganoid - just hit the Play Store.

Meganoid is inspired by the ultra-difficult (and ultra-fun) platformers on the 1980's and 90's. And yes, it's supposed to look like that.

If you've got fond memories of speeding through "don't call it Miami" Vice City to the sounds of a drugged-up Scottish hair band bickering in the back of your limousine, good news: you'll soon be able to take the experience with you. Grand Theft Auto developer Rockstar has announced that as part of the 10th anniversary celebration for GTA: Vice City, they'll be releasing mobile versions for both Android and iOS later this year.

Nuns with guns. That's the premise of the new title from Frima Studio, Nun Attack. OK, maybe it's not the entire premise, but it's a big part of it. There's also a story (because you can't just give nuns guns without a story).

Here's the gist: five sisters are good and holy, when one gives in to the dark side and becomes the Fallen Nun. Now it's your job to control the four remaining nuns and fight the unholy army raised by her wickedness.

What's the next best thing to visiting a theme park? If you said "designing one in a game," you're probably wrong. That doesn't mean it isn't fun at all, though. EA's newest game, predictably named Theme Park, lets you design the amusement park of your dreams.

The game follows the 'build it and they will come' mantra. You have to create attractions that will bring patrons to your park so you can make cash.

We know how you like your games. Engaging with a hint of hilarity and fantasy. Penny Arcade, legendary webcomic and gaming community taste-maker, has released the third installment in its turn-based RPG Penny Arcade's On The Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 to the Play Store. $3 gets you access to the entire adventure, extra DLC and a "rejiggered UI," which just sounds fancy!

If you've ever played Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, or been on the internet for five minutes, you should feel right at home in this game.

Majesco Entertainment is asking Android users if they are ready to "become a legend" with Legends of Loot, released to the Play Store today.

Legends of Loot, as you may expect from glancing at the icon above, is a humorous, cartoonish, "not-so-typical" take on the adventure game genre. The game, which promises players will "quickly develop into grand adventurers" as they progress through each environment, follows a plucky protagonist who must face off against evil dragon overlords while solving "mind-bending" puzzles and traversing mazes and traps in Egyptian, Medieval, and Asian environments across close to one hundred levels.

Viva Media has just launched its award-winning Crazy Machines Golden Gears to the Play Store (with expected Tegra Zone availability), looking to bring the Rube Goldberg-inspired dreams of a mad scientist to your mobile device while challenging players to use boards, boxing gloves, laser beams, and dynamite to achieve various goals in each level.

For now, the game features only its "Challenges" gameplay mode, which will take players through a series of levels each with their own end goal, but a "Create – Share" mode is promised to be "coming soon."

It's up to player to use various tools to accomplish those goals, but the levels get progressively harder as the game continues.

Halloween is the spookiest holiday of the year, so it only makes sense that an undead-infested game like Dead Trigger would want to get in on the action. The newest update to hit the Play Store brings exactly that, with a fun new arena called the Haunted Graveyard, along with a slews of pumpkin-head zombies.

Not only that, but there's also a new way to destroy said zombies: the crossbow.

You're clearly not tired of zombies, are you? How could you be? They're the perfect surrogate for people in violent video games. Without worrying about any of the moral consequences, you can shoot, chainsaw, maim, electrify, incinerate, or nominate them for Oscars! Try doing that with a normal human being! In Zombiewood, the carnage takes place in a Hollywood (get it?) backlot, the one place you've always wanted to let loose and break stuff.

A nice perk for Android users is an array of other software keyboards. Don't like stock? Don't sweat it. There are tons of others to choose from. Depending on your typing style, there is probably one to fit your needs. Some users like Swype, which allows you to slide your fingers across the keyboard instead of tapping each letter individually. Or there's SwiftKey, which has the ability to read your mind thanks to its incredibly intuitive prediction engine.
