The world of Shadowrun was created 25 years ago as a tabletop RPG setting, and it certainly had its fans. The Kickstarter campaign pulled in $1.8 million and now the end result is finally available on an Android tablet near you.

Fans of JRPGs, Square Enix, Final Fantasy, or just those adorable Moogles, you might want to take a moment to look into the Play Store. Go ahead, I'll wait. Did you see it? That's right, Final Fantasy V is here, marking the fifth entry from Square Enix's long running franchise to make it over to Android.

FF1 FF2

As you've probably noticed by now, this title's graphics more closely resemble the touched-up 2D visuals of the 1st and 2nd Final Fantasy titles than the 3D polygons found in the previous two releases.

YouTube Updated To Version 5.1.10 With New Video Notifications, Better Contextual Menus, More [APK Download]

We've got one last Google update to discuss this evening – YouTube. Bumping up to version 5.1.1, YouTube didn't get an official change log, but there are a few things worth discussing briefly (before Artem does his teardown magic, anyway).

First up, YouTube has a new permission for receiving data from the internet, which it uses to give you new video notifications.

Google Search Updated To 2.8.7 With Automatic Language Pack Updates, Wider TV Program Recognition, Tablet UI Tweak [APK Download]

Somewhere amid the rest of Google's app updates today, Google updated its Search app. While the Play Store still shows an old change log, there are at least a couple of notable changes with the new update.

First among them, as part of Google's ongoing quest for better language processing, is the ability to have language packs automatically update themselves. This is something we uncovered in our last APK Teardown, though some of the more exciting features we saw evidence of (custom hotwords) haven't quite hit prime time yet.

TuneIn Radio Pro Update 9.1 Fixes Broken Live Stream Pausing And Rewinding

Yesterday, TuneIn Radio Pro, one of my favorite radio apps, was updated to version 9.0 and brought a bunch of sports-related improvements. However, a pretty significant bug made its way into the app as well - pausing and rewinding live streams, which are two of the most important features of Pro, no longer worked.

Reviewers started making a stink, a bunch of users on Reddit got sad, and TuneIn soon realized what they'd done.

[New Game] Ubisoft Releases MotoHeroz, A Side Scrolling Racing Platformer Inspired By The Popular WiiWare Original

MotoHeroz first launched as a WiiWare title back in 2011, and it would remain one of the best releases available for the platform. The game is ultimately the product of a side scrolling platformer that bred with a racing game, and the result is a challenging title that combines the look of the former with the physics of the latter. In the end, MotoHeroz is a ride worth taking, and now you can find the keys sitting in the Play Store.

[New App] Google Shopping Express App Gives San Francisco Residents Mobile Access To Google's Trial Same-Day Shopping Service

An Android app for Google Shopping Express has landed in the Play Store, and while it's available for anyone to download, it still only works in the San Francisco Bay area. I know, that blows, but if you live in the region and take part in Google's trial same-day shopping program, this new app gives you a quicker means to make purchases when your computer isn't within reach. Google has also extended access out to San Jose, so if you're a newly eligible resident who hasn't already signed up for the service, now may be a good time to do so.

Hangouts 1.2 Update Rolling Out, Brings Availability Statuses, A Better Organized Contact List, And More [Update: APK]

It's update Wednesday, and Google is making good use of this one. Earlier today the company showed off the new version of Gmail with a card-based UI in the conversation list, and now it's Hangouts' turn to get a nice little feature bump.

The Hangouts update – which brings the app up to version 1.2 for those who like to keep count – brings about some mighty useful (and oft-requested) features:

  • You can finally see who is on Hangouts!

Download: Card-Enabled Gmail For Android v4.6 [APK]

Google started rolling out a nifty update to Gmail with the Card UI earlier today, but since the update is staged, it may take a while to get to a device near you. Not to worry - we've gotten a hold of the APK (thanks, Kevin!) and verified it's indeed legitimate. You can find it below on several mirrors. As always, just download and install - simple as that.
