[New Game] LEGO's Ninjago Rebooted Shows That Even Blocky Ninjas Are Agile Enough For An Endless Runner

The warriors of LEGO's Ninjago franchise aren't your old-school ninjas of feudal Japan. These heroes are bold enough to draw their blades in a more modern time, one filled with futuristic corridors, glowing elevator shafts, and dangerous lasers. Yet unlike Tecmo's Ryu Hayabusa, these ninjas don't square off against armed gunmen. They're out to rid Ninjago City of the possessed-scientist Cyrus Borg and his army of minions. Of course, the only way to do this in Ninjago Rebooted is by racing to the top of Borg Tower.

[Upcoming Game] Playmous' God Of Light Looks Like An Acid Trip Through A Field Of Illuminated Daisies

We're all for psychedelic games around here, and if said game also happens to incorporate some sort of logical gameplay and pretty scenery, we're definitely interested. That basically describes Polymous' upcoming game God of Light, which the company recently teased. There's no point in spending countless words trying to explain the look of the game, especially considering that there's a nice video teaser that displays the gameplay perfectly:

According to Polymous' blog post about the game, you play as a little thing called "Shiny," and the goal is to reflect light off of the colorful flower-looking things in order to "save the universe from impending darkness." Sounds like a lot of responsibility for a thing named Shiny.

[New Game] Square Enix's Deus Ex: The Fall Is Now Available Inside The Play Store For $6.99

Most games that get released for Android are decidedly casual. They're intended for quick, pick-up-and-play encounters when you have a few moments to kill while waiting in the fast food line or in the back seat of a cab. Most, frankly, can't compare to the lean-back experience we get from console games (or the lean-forward immersion of their PC brethren). Square Enix's Deus Ex: The Fall is a different beast entirely.

[New Game] Table Top Racing, From The Creator Of Wipeout, Skids Into The Play Store Like An Open Pack Of Micro Machines

On the surface, Table Top Racing looks like just another mobile racing game. The cars are simple, the graphics are charming, and nothing about the title suggests any semblance of depth. But hold on to your cereal, because the cars about to drift their away across your kitchen table are packing more horsepower than it seems. Table Top Racing comes to us from the creator of Wipeout (Nick Burcombe, now CEO of Playrise Digital), and while this release may not have that series' over-the-top futuristic spectacle, it has enough content to suggest it was made by someone who knows what they are doing.

King Seeks To Block Trademark Of Turn-Based RPG The Banner Saga Because Of The Word 'Saga'

Candy Crush Saga has three words in the title, but game developer King only got a trademark approved for the first one. That doesn't mean, however, that the second two are fair game. It turns out a few weeks ago King filed a Notice of Opposition with the USPTO regarding someone else's trademark request. The application in question was for The Banner Saga, a turn-based PC RPG. King objects because it includes the word 'saga.' Yes, seriously.

The US Patent and Trademark Office, in its infinite and infallible wisdom, has opted to approve a trademark filing from King, the developer of the wildly popular game Candy Crush Saga. King was seeking a trademark on the word 'candy' in the context of games and clothing (for some reason), and it appears the attorney who examined the request thought King had a sufficiently strong case, so here we are.
