Dead-Thumb

N3V Games dropped Dead on Arrival 2 in the Play Store last week, but they made the game exclusively available in their native Australia and neighbor New Zealand. They announced that they would roll the game out globally on September 23rd, and while it may now be two days later, we can't blame them for giving their peeps a few extra days of exclusive playtime. Still, that time's up, so everyone else can now pick up their trusty firearm of choice.

Plasma-Thumb

Lets temper those expectations right from the beginning. Don't Run With a Plasma Sword has nothing to do with Halo, and you would be hard-pressed to find similarities between this mobile title and that blockbuster series. The young, Saturday-morning-cartoon-aged protagonist of Don't Run With a Plasma Sword isn't even wielding what I'd consider a plasma sword - it's more of a lightsaber.* But you know what? That's just as awesome. So pick up your Android device and get ready for another endless runner.

The first game that I ever played from Adult Swim was called "Five Minutes To Kill (Yourself)." It perfectly encapsulated the nihilistic and sarcastic tone of Adult Swim as a programming block, and it was a pretty hilarious game to boot. Now the boys in black have returned to their roots with Giant Boulder of Death. It's about a giant boulder that kills people, among other things.

GBoD is what Katamari Damacy would be if it was about ten times faster and replaced stickiness with destruction.

Welcome to the latest entry in our Bonus Round series, wherein we tell you all about the new Android games of the day that we couldn't get to during our regular news rounds. Consider this a quick update for the dedicated gamers who can't wait for our bi-weekly roundups, and don't want to wade through a whole day's worth of news just to get their pixelated fix. Today we've got a 2D WWI dogfight shooter, a pirate shuffleboard game (yes, really), and an excellent example of why you don't give guns to monkeys.

SheepHappens-Thumb

Have you ever tried to count sheep in order to fall asleep? It doesn't work. Why? It's not just because sheep are far too noisy to use as sleeping aids, it's because there's something oddly unsettling about them. What do they have hiding under their fur - wings perhaps? The sheepocalypse is upon us, and yes, those are sheep falling from the skies. It's time to run endlessly to put an end to this madness.

FIFA14-Thumb

We know some of you have been dying to get your hands on a mobile version of FIFA 14, and you probably hated to find out that the game was now available, just not in your country. When we first posted earlier today, this game was only out in several countries. Well, patient soccer fans, it's time to check the Play Store again. EA has taken an awkward approach to rolling out this title, but it should now be available in most countries.

All you have to do is get to the luminous beam of light at the end of the level. That's all it takes to progress through Incredipede. However, actually figuring out how to get there is a bit of a challenge. In each level your buggy avatar has to mutate to make its way onward, growing new limbs and muscles as needed. This kind of experimental gameplay has a tendency to go wrong, even if it starts out strong.

If you've been waiting for Electronic Arts to release the latest version of its monster soccer franchise FIFA for Android... well, you'll probably have to keep waiting. FIFA 14 is available in the Play Store, but the only place that we've confirmed it can actually be downloaded is in Romania (and possibly Singapore). There's no sign of a North American release, which usually comes in a separate listing.

The new FIFA 14 includes 33 football leagues and over 600 teams, all with licensed player names and stats.

There's still time to enjoy the weekend before it's back to the daily grind, and you don't even have to leave your house to do it. In fact, you don't even have to get up. Frankly, anything you can't do while remaining seated probably isn't worth doing. So prepare to be amazed by the fabulous sales.
