Plants vs. Zombies started as a fairly simple lane-based tower defense game, much loved thanks to its tight gameplay and whimsical style. But like any casual game that gets a big following, it's now branching into other genres as well. The Garden Warfare spinoffs on consoles have done well as Team Fortress-style multiplayer shooters, and now PopCap is going after another multiplayer giant: Hearthstone. PvZ Heroes, now out of geo-limited beta, brings semi-random card decks into the eternal undead-rhododendron fight. Read More
Neither of these deals is valid in the US, Canada, and many countries around the world. There. That should help you skip reading this post altogether. But if you're still around, then you probably live in one of the few countries where these $0.10 deals have been frequent in the past few months and you already know the drill. We're talking about 0.10 EUR in France, Italy, Spain, and Germany, GBP 0.10 in the UK, RUB 10 in Russia, and AUD 0.20 in Australia. Other countries are probably unaffected, but it won't hurt to check.
With that out of the way, the two pieces of software you can buy are SKRWT and Neo Monsters. Read More

We're not really sure what the story is here. Lara Croft: Guardian of Light has been out since 2010 on iOS, XBox 360, PS3, and PCs, and according to RedmondPie, it was even released on Android in July of 2012. But the Play Store listing that's mentioned in that article, which is this link, doesn't appear to be live anymore. RedmondPie noted back in 2012 that the game was a Sony Ericsson exclusive, but 4 years is a really long time for an exclusive on a game title. Maybe Square Enix forgot to release it for other devices, maybe Sony Ericsson really did have a long-term exclusive deal on it, or maybe the game was pulled from the Play Store a while ago and forgotten until today. The NVIDIA SHIELD is the premier Android TV device currently on the market, but what really sets it apart is the games NVIDIA are able to secure as exclusives on Android (or sometimes just straight-up AAA titles). The next one of these games to come to the SHIELD is Kingdom: New Lands, a kingdom-building game in a cool, cute pixel-art graphical style. Read More
You might know Spry Fox from its bear-themed games Alphabear and Bushido Bear. The new Road Less Traveled isn't about bears, but admittedly there are some bears in it. Instead, it's about a ranger whose task it is to rescue foolish children who are constantly getting trapped by blizzards. Read More
Need to get a closer look at something? The Play Store on Android will now oblige with pinch-zoom on screenshots, which let's be honest, it should have had ages ago. However, this was just snuck in recently, possibly as a server-side switch. Read More

There was a time back in 2000 when I loved playing FIFA on my computer. I'd mastered the art of the keystrokes so it was quite easy for me to win any length of match against any opponent on any level of difficulty. But as time passed and I got more busy with school and work, I didn't have enough time to learn the new tricks and options of new versions of FIFA and I fell behind. Now, I can't have my player run for 2 seconds without being tackled by someone on the opposite team. Oh well...
If you're better than me at playing FIFA or you have enough time to learn how to coordinate a corner kick with a header shot, you're in luck. Read More
If you like well designed games with engulfing graphics, appropriately adapted to mobile gameplay, gamepad support, and dozens of unique characters and environments, you'll love Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath. The game was first released on Android back in 2014 as an Amazon exclusive, then made it onto the Play Store for all. It has since been downloaded over 100,000 times and managed to keep a 4.5 star rating with nearly 17500 reviews. Impressive.
Stranger's Wrath first cost $4.99, but it has been hovering between $0.99 and $2.99 over the past few months. Now though, it's down to an even lower price, just like Munch's Oddysee was a few weeks ago. Read More
