Amazon has had some pretty great deals as part of its Free App of the Day, but apparently that's over now. The prolific retailer is replacing it with Amazon Underground, which includes "over $10,000 of apps and games that are actually free." Specifically, Amazon is giving away paid apps and in-app purchases with an agreement that reimburses app developers based on the amount of time the apps are actually used. Read More
Looking for something a little different for your super-powered Android TV device (while you wait for all those PC game ports, like Borderlands and Metal Gear Rising, that NVIDIA is being oddly quiet about)? Then take a gander at Battle of Sol, an old-school space fighter sim with new next-gen graphics and a simplified control setup. The game was released on Steam last month after a lengthy Early Access period. It's fashioned after the 90s staples of the genre like Wing Commander and Freespace. Read More
Google has been testing YouTube Gaming for the last few months after announcing it in June. It promised a summer 2015 release for its Twitch competitor, and it's living up to it. The big day for YouTube Gaming is tomorrow, and it'll be accessible in all regions with access to YouTube. Read More
We're halfway through another Humble Bundle, and you know what that means. Yes, more games. There are three new additions to the Humble PC And Android Bundle 13, and we've got ten codes to hand out that unlock the full bundle. That's ten total games for (maybe) free. Otherwise, still pretty cheap. Read More

Until Dawn, for the uninitiated, is not a game about seeing who can stay up the latest. It's a survival horror title set to hit the PlayStation 4 tomorrow, August 25th. Players will be in for a frightening experience that's meant to be played multiple times, with each adventure lasting around ten hours.
Just before the big day, Sony has released the official Until Dawn companion app into the Play Store. As long as the app is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the console, you will be able to use your phone or tablet to unlock secrets and keep track of collectibles. Read More
Welcome to the latest entry in our Bonus Round series, wherein we tell you all about the new Android games of the day that we couldn't get to during our regular news rounds. Since The Pre-Sequel was a considerable disappointment (and 2K and NVIDIA seem to be taking their sweet time porting it to SHIELD hardware in any case), Tales from the Borderlands is the only game in town for the massively popular shooter IP. That's OK, because TellTale is doing a fantastic job with the odd mix of sci-fi and comedy that the series is known for. The fourth episode in the adventure game story, "Escape Plan Bravo," went live for the Play Store version of Tales from the Borderlands today.
This is the fourth of five total episodes, so things are starting to heat up for our protagonists Rhys and Fiona. Read More
Every couple of months the members of the exclusive billion installs club have to roll out the red carpet as they introduce another app into their ranks. This time, they're welcoming two. The likes of Gmail, Facebook, and WhatsApp now have to say hi to Play Games and Talkback.
Play Games (which only launched in 2013) isn't as old as other Play apps such as Music, Movies, and Newsstand —but that hasn't stopped it from beating all three to the one billion installs mark. Now, before anyone gets too excited, that doesn't mean a billion people have all gone out of their way to install the app. Read More
Just days after releasing a new gameplay teaser, Pac-Man 256 From Hipster Whale has hit the Play Store. This officially licensed take on Pac-Man is part classic arcade eating simulator and part endless runner, plus a delightful homage to the level 256 glitch of the original. It's free-to-play, but the in-app purchases actually seem very fair once you figure it all out. Read More
