Disney Pulls Tiny Death Star From The Google Play Store, Neglects To Tell Tiny Game Developer

Go to the Play Store on your Android device and look for Tiny Death Star, the Star Wars-themed version of Nimblebit's smash hit casual game Tiny Tower, and you won't find it. If that's surprising, you're not half as shocked as Nimblebit. According to a report from Pocket Gamer, Lucasfilm's new owners at Disney decided to un-publish the game without even telling the developers their plans. Disney also pulled a Star Wars card game, Assault Team, though that me-too CCG title is hard to get upset about.

Civil War Steampunk Strategy Game Ironclad Tactics Jumps From PC To Android

Warren County, Mississippi, May 19th, 1863. Battalions of Union soldiers march through the marshy ground of the delta, the wet slop already clinging to their boots. The morning chill is already passing, promising to leave a parting gift of southern humidity as the summer sun climbs over the grassland to the east. The soldiers, low on spirit but not resolve, check their rifles and equipment as they advance to the siege lines of Vicksburg.

PlayStation Mobile Publishes The Hypnotically Beautiful Entwined Challenge On The Play Store

You'll have to excuse me, I'm a little out of it. After a few short sessions with Entwined Challenge, going back to a boring writing window is kind of like dunking your head in ice water. This abstract casual game comes from developer Pixelopus, the maker of the full Entwined game on the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita. Now you can get a bite-sized version of the experience on your Android device, Sony or not, in the Play Store.

Skylanders Trap Team Brings The 'Real' Skylanders Experience To Android, But Only A Few Tablets Are Invited

Update: We've checked out the Play Store page on various AP writers' accounts, and apparently the game is now marked as incompatible with everything, including the hardware listed in the description. At this point I'm guessing that the Android app was published prematurely, and this will change on the multi-platform release date for Trap Team, which is October 5th in the United States.

There have been three Skylanders-branded games published on the Play Store so far, Battlegrounds, Cloud Patrol, and Lost Islands.

Monument Valley is another reminder that a game doesn't have to be long to be worth the ride. At this moment, it's discounted to just 99 cents on the Amazon Appstore, a discount of 75%. I've expressed my fondness for this game before, so I don't need to ramble on too much here when I tell you that, assuming you can put up with having Amazon as the distributor, this is a deal that you're going to want to jump on if you have yet to put the immersive puzzler through its paces.

Tales Of Pocoro Is An Android Wear Game That Won't Immediately Make You Hate Yourself

Perhaps that title doesn't sound like high praise, but playing games on your smartwatch is a generally distasteful business. I don't know that watch gaming is ever going to be a great experience, but Tales of Pocoro isn't bad. I've played it for a solid 10 minutes and I haven't grimaced with pain. I suppose that kind of makes it the best game for your Android Wear watch.
