DraStic Nintendo DS Emulator Updated With Android TV Support, High-Res 3D, Custom Shader Support, And More

The Nintendo DS, though pretty old by game standards, is a tricky thing to emulate. Aside from the dual screens, it uses standard button, touchscreen, and microphone inputs, and it has a plethora of 2D and 3D games available. Despite this, DraStic remains the best emulator for the DS on the Play Store (and one of the most complete emulators for Android regardless of system). The latest update adds even more goodies.

DuckTales: Remastered Is Currently Just 99 Cents In The Play Store, A 90% Discount Even Scrooge McDuck Would Jump On

When a port of the console game DuckTales: Remastered came to the Play Store earlier this year, it brought with it a pricetag that would make Scrooge McDuck scoff. That's not to say $10 was an unreasonable amount to pay for a game that cost at least as much on consoles, but like many other gamers, Scrooge tosses such logic out the window when buying stuff on his tablet. Besides, he likes to enjoy his gold in other ways.

If you've found the price of DuckTales: Remastered similarly off-putting, now is a good time to go over to its Play Store page.

Gabriel Knight: Sins Of The Fathers, Another Classic Adventure Game, Comes To The Play Store

Fans of point-and-click adventure games are spoiled for choice on mobile platforms. It seems like every week we get a new game or a remastered classic for connoisseurs to chew on. This week's special is Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers, a 1993 Sierra original that was remastered last year. This tale of a bookstore owner investigating a series of murders on New Orleans is one of the favorites of the genre.

Google Play Summer Sale Discounts A Smattering Of Popular Games To A Dollar Or Less: Monument Valley, Botanicula, Republique, Marvel Pinball, And More

It's high summer in the United States, and it's the perfect time to go outside and do stuff. Unless you live in the south, or the midwest, or the southwest, or parts of California, or the northeast, or any major city where there's more concrete than grass. For those places it's the perfect time to sit inside, hide from 100+ degree temperatures, and curse your air conditioning bill. While you're doing all that non-exercising and non-self-actualizing, here are some games you can pick up on the cheap.

Google has put a handful of popular titles on sale so far, most of them now priced at a dollar or less.

The Grand Tournament - A Massive Hearthstone Expansion Is Coming In August With 132 New Cards, A New Playing Board, And More

Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, is a pretty awesome game that combines simplicity, strategy, and luck better than any other card game I've tried. Since being introduced to it a few months ago, I have played more matches than I care to admit and, for the most part, I have thoroughly enjoyed it. That is, until recently. Over the past couple of weeks the game has gotten really stale. It seems that every day I play against the same 8-10 decks that everyone uses and that is getting kinda old.

The wonderful (and awful) thing about Hearthstone is that just as players are refining their decks to perfection to dominate the game, new cards are introduced that turn everything upside again.

Piloteer Is A Beautiful Physics-Based Jetpack Sim With Punishing Difficulty

Sure, jetpacks seem like a good idea at first, then you realize how hard it would be to not die while using one. Piloteer gives form to that fear with a mercilessly challenging physics simulator. You have a jetpack in this game, but it doesn't have any fancy gyroscopic stabilizers or wussy safety measures. You fly, you fail (fabulously), you fly again.

In the main career mode of Piloteer, you are given 60 different missions across three lovely art deco levels. The missions can be anything from land in this spot, to stay in the air for 5 seconds, to fly through these rings.

Prismatica Is An Original Color-Focused Puzzle Game That Will Spin You Right Round

There are a lot of puzzle games on Android. It makes sense: a touch-based interface is perfect for games that have a lot of active elements on screen at once and don't need quick responses. But that ideal setup means that years after the explosion of mobile gaming, we don't often see new ideas. Prismatica is a hexagonal puzzle game that bucks that trend. It's kind of like a two dimensional Rubik's cube, plus some color theory and twinkly music.

Each Prismatica stage is made up of a series of hexagonal wheels that are interconnected. Every wheel uses a colored spoke which "assigns" the color to its surrounding tiles, which overlap onto another wheel at at least one point, combining their colors.
