Niantic is adding Raid Battles, Gym Badges, and more to Pokémon GO, but it has to temporarily disable all gyms to do it [Update: APK and changelog]

Ah, Niantic. The Google spin-off had a hit on its hands last summer with Pokémon GO burst onto the scene. Slow updates and a poor reliability in the early days probably hobbled the game, but it's still chugging along. Niantic's next update will add some neat features, but it also requires all gyms to be disabled during the rollout. Something tells me people won't like that.

Cubiscape

Today's roundup is presented by Cubiscape from Peter Kováč. From the outset, Cubiscape may appear uncomplicated in its setup. You simply need to get the ball to its goal. But once you dig in, you will see how devilishly well thought-out and challenging the puzzle design is.

Cubiscape is a free, addictive puzzle game with unlimited levels, multiple difficulty settings, and zero ads [Sponsored Post]

When it comes to puzzle and logic games, there is a delicate balance to be struck. If the game is too simple, it's just no fun. But if it's too difficult or too complicated, then the game becomes frustrating or the learning curve becomes too steep. Many games fail to strike this balance, and even those that do sometimes leave you wanting more once you've beaten all its levels.

Cubiscape is a new game that balances simplicity, complexity, and difficulty very well all while giving players unlimited levels to solve. Even better is that the game is free and includes no third-party ads.

[Deal Alert] It's Wednesday, so why not take a break from your mid-week and peruse 25 temporarily free and 32 on-sale apps, plus both 0.10 Apps of the Week

It's Wednesday, and I am still here covering for Jordan for the app sales post. Just like Monday's roundup, I have retained the formatting that Jordan uses. That means Free, and Sale apps are still split into two sections. It also means that any bolded text you see is there to highlight the apps that I have found personally interesting or worthwhile. Even the WTF section headed with ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ is here in all of its glory. Oh, and good news for all of you game lovers, you can see that there are quite a few standouts on sale today. So without further ado, go ahead and dig on in!
