Another day, another set of app sales - today's items all fall squarely in the "games" category (for the moment), but they're a few relatively good one. Read on for the list. Head over to yesterday's post for even more awesome deals (including the Metal Slug ports, a must-buy in my opinion).

[New Game] The Legend Of Holy Archer Has Very Little To Do With Real Archery (But It's Still Fun)

Archery is an ancient and noble art, sitting at the intersection of physics, craft, and human skill. The Legend of Holy Archer is a somewhat ridiculous game where you control flying arrows with magic. What it lacks in authenticity it makes up for in genuine fun, thanks to solid controls and a unique game mechanic. The 3D title is a free download supported by in-app purchases (which are thankfully optional) and it's available on Android devices running Froyo or later.

If you like Tetris—wait, what the heck am I saying? Of course you like Tetris. Everyone likes Tetris. Disliking Tetris is like disliking ice cream, or baby animals. You like Tetris. SEGA has a rich history of platfoming titles to draw upon as it makes the transition to mobile gaming. Alex Kidd. Sonic the Hedgehog. Nights. But one you might not have heard of is Hell Yeah!, a downloadable title from developer Arkedo Studio. After making waves on the PC and consoles last year, this tongue-in-cheek gorefest has been adapted into what might just be the strangest endless runner on Android.

SEGA's House Of The Dead Overkill: The Lost Reels Hits The Play Store, Is The Most Fun You Can Have Shooting Undead Strippers

The original House of the Dead (and its sequels) is one of my absolute favorite arcade shooters of all time. And House of the Dead: Overkill brought a whole new experience to the franchise, with more dynamic characters and full-on adult content (we're talkin' drug use, strippers, and more f-bombs than Pulp Fiction can shake a stick at). Needless to say, it's a fantastic rail shooter.

For those who have longed for more HotD action, Sega just pushed Overkill: The Lost Reels to the Play Store.

Time To Suit Up: Official Iron Man 3 Game From Gameloft Hits Google Play

I had a revelation last year: when it comes to my favorite superheroes, I'm a big fan of the "normal" guys who just have lots of money and gadgets. That's not to say that Wolverine, Thor, and the like aren't complete and total badasses, but there's just something to be said for millionaire philanthropists looking for a bit of vigilante justice.

For those who may be outside the super hero loop (way outside of it), I'm referring to Batman and Iron Man.

iOS Hit Zombie HQ Makes Its Way To Android, All The Zombies You Can Shoot For The Low, Low Price Of Free*

Ah, free to play games: they really do seem to be taking the world by storm. Sort of like zombies. So it makes sense for a game in which kill horde upon horde of the walking dead to be free to play... or something. Anyway, Zombie HQ is a fairly popular game on iOS, and the developers just dropped an Android version on the Play Store.

[New Game] Official Port Of RE-VOLT - The R/C Racing Classic - Comes To Android, And It's Fantastic

I spent many an hour at my trusty Nintendo 64 playing RE-VOLT as a kid, and when I heard an Android port was released, I just handed over my money without question.

Now, you may say "a racing game on Android? A port of one? Sounds like a lot of potential for terrible awfulness there, David" ... and you'd be right. There is a lot of potential for a lot of terrible awfulness.

Cloanto Releases Amiga Forever Essentials For Android - Will Allow Licensed Emulation Of Multiple Amiga OS Versions

Playing emulated games on Android is something of a "don't ask, don't tell" affair when it comes to obtaining system BIOS files and such. Cloanto, owners of the Amiga OS license, though, have decided that you no longer should have to scrounge for the appropriate pieces to get Amiga emulation up and running on your device. The company released an app today called Amiga Forever Essentials, which is not only a mouthful, but a complete package of Amiga system ROMs for your enjoyment.
