Always forgetting your phone? Well, you should probably pay more attention. Failing that, maybe get one of those Bluetooth tethers that can warn you when you're about to leave the phone behind. HTC makes one of those called the Fetch, and now there's an app in Google Play so more devices can get in on the fun.

Link Bubble is already a pretty great app, but developer Chris lacy is apparently not content to rest on his laurels. There is already a Play Store beta program you can join to get the latest tweaks and features. Just a few steps and you're in.

For anyone not aware, Link Bubble is an app that loads web pages in the background and stacks them up in a floating bubble.

When it comes to invisible keyboards, Fleksy doesn't have a lot of competition. Or none, actually. This keyboard uses aggressive autocorrect and prediction to make words out of the nonsense you enter, and today it's hitting v2.0 with some new features.

It looks like HTC is intent on getting all its news crammed into one week. Just a few hours before its scheduled media events in New York and London, wherein the company will reveal the New One (or at least show off whatever hasn't been leaked yet), HTC has been uploading apps to the Play Store like there's no tomorrow. In addition to the Blinkfeed launcher and SenseTV apps, the Sense versions of the Gallery and HTC Guide have been added to HTC's publisher page.

Hot on the heels of BlinkFeed and the vaguely defined HTC Service Pack, HTC is hitting the Play Store with another app: SenseTV. The electronic programming guide meets universal remote control made its first appearance last year alongside Sense 5.0 on the HTC One. This looks like an update to the original which includes a redesigned style to match Sense 6, improvements to data for sporting events, and support for the HTC One Google Play Edition.

I know this is Chromecast country, but Roku was here first. The humble little WiFi streaming devices are competent and powerful, and they work with at least some online media sources that Chromecast doesn't. (Lookin' at you, Amazon.) If you're a happy Roku customer like me, then the Android remote app is probably a big part of your entertainment center. The new and improved version overhauls the user interface and adds one much-needed change.

Google added native screen recording functionality in Android 4.4, but it only works over ADB and there's no audio output. Third-party developers have been working on ways to expand the usability of the native functionality, but the root only app SCR might be the closest to implementing sound and video perfectly after the most recent update.

In the new version, SCR gains support for experimental recording of internal audio with the video.

Update: Google has finally provided clarification on the recent Search update. Going forward, Google Now will shoot you an alert if it detects a traffic incident along your drive, and as you can see clearly in the image below, the app is pulling this information via Waze.

Tumblr-Thumb

Tumblr has rolled out a new two-factor authentication option that, once enabled, decreases the likelihood of someone breaking into your Tumblr account. Rather than just a password, you will also need to type in a key generated by your Android device. We've already seen Google, Facebook, and Twitter implement this functionality, so while it's about time, it's also better late than never.

You can enable the feature through your Tumblr settings page.
