If you've never heard of Mika Mobile, that's not a huge surprise - they're a small, but fairly successful mobile game developer that focuses primarily on iOS. Their number one title (in terms of recent sales) is Zombieville USA 2, which has over 68,000 ratings on the App Store, and the most recent version of the game has averaged 5 stars. So we're clear, that's no small feat.

[New Game] Glu Mobile's INFECTED Hits The Android Market – Team Up With NYC Cops, Snipers, And Muggers To Defend Against The Zombie Onslaught

Glu Mobile has done it again, introducing INFECTED to the Android Market today. Glu's latest mobile game jumps on the zombie bandwagon, following the story of a "strange virus," which has begun infecting citizens of New York City, transforming them into "insane, violent zombies."

INFECTED uses a gameplay style strongly reminiscent of tower defense, replacing towers with civilians, and turrets with defenses ranging from NYC cops to muggers, limousines, oil tankers, and more.

I've had an odd interest in the undead for as long as I can remember, and I could make a hipster-esque statement and say that I thought zombies were badass long before anyone else did, but I won't go that far. I've been planning for some sort of zombie apocalypse for quite a while now, so if anything starts to go down, you'll probably be safe with me. Needless to say, I'm also in love with any sort of zombie game and when one comes my direction, it goes up against hard criticism.
