Stay tuned - this is a multi-part "Deal Alert," everyone. First on our list: the HTC Thunderbolt. If you open a new Verizon account (sorry, additional lines and renewals aren't eligible) today, you can pick up an HTC Thunderbolt from Wirefly for just $100. Not shabby. The Thunderbolt was Verizon's debut 4G LTE device, and it has enjoyed substantial popularity since launch. It's also probably the best 4G handset on Verizon presently, though its battery life and lack of a Gingerbread update have put off many owners.

tb

The Thunderbolt packs a 1GHz single-core next-gen Qualcomm processor, 768MB RAM, and a 4.3-inch SLCD display (with Gorilla Glass).

If you want to get one of the hottest phones on T-Mo for the lowest price you can find, then you should probably head over the Wirefly where you can score the HTC Sensation 4G for $130 with a new two-year agreement. This is quite the deal, as Amazon Wireless and T-Mobile are both still selling this handset for $200.

Still not sold? Take a look at what you'll get for that one-thirty:

  • 4.3 inch qHD Super LCD display
  • 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor
  • 768MB RAM
  • 1GB built-in storage
  • 8MP rear camera, VGA front camera
  • Android 2.3 with Sense 3.0

As you can tell by those specs, this phone is definitely no joke.

Last week, I listed the EVO Shift 4G in my roundup of the best Android phones under $50, but that was when it was priced at $40 on AmazonWireless. Wirefly has now gone and beaten that price silly, offering the QWERTY-keyboard slider phone for the low, low price of "free" if you open a new Sprint account, or add a new line to your existing plan.

k

The EVO Shift 4G does have a tiny 3.6" display, but it's also packing a next-gen single core Snapdragon processor and a big 1530mAh battery - along with a fresh update to Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread.

I'm not a big fan of the DROID Charge, but hey, to each his own. And apparently consumers haven't been such huge fans of the phone's notoriously high original MSRP ($300 on upgrade or new agreement), making it the most expensive subsidized Android phone to date.

charge

Well, Wirefly has started playing hardball, and after having dropped the Charge down to $180 a month or so back, they've gone price-slashing yet again: you can now pick up the Samsung DROID Charge for $129.99 on a new Verizon account with a 2-year agreement, or when you add a line to your existing plan (sorry, it's still $200 if you want to upgrade).

To welcome the arrival of T-Mobile's newest mid-range handsets, the Samsung Exhibit 4G and Gravity SMART, Wirefly is throwing a bone out there to all who are thinking of signing up with Team Magenta. If you walk into a T-Mo retail store looking to pick up either of these devices, then you'll be shelling out $80 for the Exhibit and $70 for the Gravity SMART (or $30 if you get the plain black one), but you can grab them from Wirefly for $50 and free, respectively.

Since these are both new devices, here is a look at the specs:

Samsung Exhibit 4G

T-Mobile-Samsung-Exhibit-4G-Android-Smartphone

  • 3.5 Inch 480x800 TFT display
  • 1GHz single-core Hummingbird processor
  • 512MB RAM
  • 3MP rear shooter, 0.3MP 'round front
  • Android 2.3 with Touchwiz
  • Black and Violet variants

Samsung Gravity Smart

27-Samsung-Gravity-SMART

  • 3.2 Inch display
  • 600MHz single-core proccessor
  • 3MP rear shooter
  • Slide-Out QWERTY
  • Android 2.2 with Touchwiz
  • Grey and Berry variants

While the Exhibit is a solid mid-range device (apart from the subpar camera), the Gravity SMART is more of an entry-level handset clearly directed at the 'tweener of the family.

If you've been thinking about jumping from your current carrier to Sprint, then you may want to take advantage of this deal: one of the most popular Android phones of all time, the HTC EVO 4G, is now free with a new two-year agreement from Wirefly and Amazon Wireless. This is by far the lowest price that we've ever seen the EVO go for, and even though it's over a year old, it still rivals many of the phones currently being released.

We've all seen "roundup" lists of smartphones before: who's got the best display, who has the quickest processor, the newest OS revision, the biggest battery - but let's face facts: that kind of stuff is for nerds (like all of us here at AP - and most of our wonderful readers). So we're going to try out something new - call it a pilot episode, if you will.

When you're attempting to convince the less geeky folks you know that they should pick up an Android phone, it can be a tough sell. Particularly when you're pitching a $200 handset to a person that has been quite happy with free flip-phones for the last 7 years.

Today must be a good day for deals - first the Acer Iconia Tab A500 for $380, and now the Wirefly has the HTC EVO 3D for $150 with a two-year agreement. Considering that this device isn't slated to hit shelves for another two weeks, this is an excellent price (the lowest we've seen yet).

2011-06-13 16h00_32

Specs:

  • 4.3 Inch qHD Super-LCD display
  • 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 5MP rear shooter with 3D video and image capture
  • 1.3MP front camera
  • 4GB built-in storage
  • Android 2.3 with Sense 3.0

To add a bit more awesome to the deal, if you use Sprint's Buyback Program, there's a chance that you could get basically score this upgrade for free.

This is quite the deal if you've been thinking about getting an Xperia PLAY: with a new two-year agreement, you can get the one-and-only Playstation phone for less than one dollar at both Amazon and Wirefly - $0.01 and $0.99 respectively, to be exact. If you're already on VZW, you can still score this device for $50 with a two-year agreement renewal.

2011-06-10 12h32_29 2011-06-10 12h33_12

Even though both retailers are offering similar deals, if you decide to buy from Wirefly, you'll get a $25 Android Market Card good towards to purchase of new apps and games, which makes this an overall better deal (if you like free stuff, that is).

If you've been considering the Droid Incredible 2 as your next phone, now is probably the best time to make the leap, as Wirefly has a pretty unbelievable deal going on: you can score this next-gen Droid for a mere $2 with a new two-year agreement (of course). If you're already a Verizon customer lookin' to grab this phone as an upgrade, it will still only set you back $50 (it's currently $200 at VZW). As always, there's no charge for shipping and it will be void of sales tax in most states.
