MyColorScreen is a site where Android enthusiasts can show off the sometimes stunning UIs they design with various apps and mods. Most of what you come across on the site is fairly predictable; a different widget here and a custom wallpaper there. Although, on occasion someone creates something truly wonderful, and the new PIE UI from AdamF is definitely one of those.
The PIE UI theme is a unique UI that takes advantage of a number of apps like WidgetLocker, Nova Launcher, and Power Widget. Read More

A few weeks ago, we launched what ended up being my favorite creative Android Police contest to date - the wallpaper design contest. With over 250 submissions, it took me a little while to sort through everything and pick out the two winners, the top 25 runners-up, and even one hilarious entry that we absolutely had to include.
As promised, the first place entry will receive a 16GB Sony Tablet S, and the second one will get the Philips Fidelio AS851 that we reviewed earlier. Read More
Following up on the success of our 404 design and banner design contests, we've decided to run another creative giveaway, graciously sponsored by NVIDIA and Philips. Personally, I think the creative contests are always the best - we get beautiful graphic assets and designs, and our talented readers get a platform on which to showcase their skills and creative abilities. Besides all that, looking through the entries is always a good time. Read More
Hot on the heels of the leaked media files, we now have yet another leak, also courtesy of P3Droid, this time of the 12 wallpapers found in Ice Cream Sandwich. As someone put it on reddit: "I feel like whoever is leaking these is like some kind of psychopath giving us parts of his victim, piece by piece." That sounds pretty accurate, doesn't it?
You can download an app P3 put together (registration required) and use it to install these wallpapers, or if you want to explore by yourself:

The 1.5GHz 7" HTC EVO View 4G tablet doesn't even have a definitive release date on Sprint outside of "this summer," but that didn't stop the infamous 911sniper HTC ROM blog from releasing the full dump yesterday, full of EVO View's guts. After downloading and looking through it in hopes of delicious goodies (wallpapers, ringtones, etc), I was disappointed to see pretty much nothing new besides a bunch of 1200x1024px static wallpapers. We may not know exactly when HTC's first foray into the Android tablet world will launch (though we would guess sooner rather than later), but if you simply cannot wait to crack open that case and tear into the user manual, we have good news for you. A PDF file containing the manual has been leaked, along with a several nice-looking wallpapers. Inside the manual, you'll find a full run-through of Sense 3.0, as well as more information on the Scribe software. Read More
This morning, an HTC Sensation ROM featuring Sense 3.0 got leaked online, and while we're waiting for it to be ported to various devices, I thought it'd be a good idea to download it and see if it has any new wallpapers, ringtones, or notification sounds. While I was a bit disappointed on the audio front (both notifications and ringtones don't contain anything new), most of the wallpapers were indeed brand new, except maybe bokeh (I ran them through TinEye's reverse image search). Are you one of the many that likes the look of Windows Phone 7, but doesn’t want to give up your existing launcher in lieu of a WP7 lookalike? If so, we have an app for you. It’s called Launcher Wall and feels similar to Windows Phone 7, without duplicating the interface.
Launcher Wall is an interactive live wallpaper comprised of customizable, animated tile-style icons with an animated background. It is pretty straightforward; each tile corresponds to a user defined app in which you can change the size, placement, angle, size, transparency, and animation. Read More
