Yes, we were excited too, but it looks like owners of Verizon's LTE Xoom still have to wait a bit for ICS. The tablet is about to receive a software update (HLK75H) "soon". Verizon's support page doesn't specify when. There's not much to the update, though. Your tablet will now support dual International Mobile Subscriber Identities (IMSI), as well as a bugfix for restoring data connectivity after exiting Airplane Mode.
In other words, this update is for the subset of the already small group of people who own Verizom Xooms that use their tablets for frequent international travel. Read More
Google's latest wunderphone, the Galaxy Nexus, normally runs a pricey $300 on contract when purchased through Verizon. Luckily, competition brings down prices - sometimes dramatically - and it's on sale now at Amazon for just $99.99 with free 2-day shipping for incoming Verizon customers (it's still $259.99 for those who are upgrading). Quite the discount, and 100 bones for such a mind-blowing device is quite the steal indeed.
In comparison, Wirefly is selling the GNexus for $230 for both new and upgrading customers. Read More

According to Verizon's system update documentation, owners of big red's Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 can expect a software update any time now. While it isn't the Ice Cream Sandwich users are undoubtedly craving, the update (bringing system software to I905-EL01) offers quite a few interesting features.
Among these are improvements to Samsung's Touchwiz UX, a new Social Hub widget, built-in photo editing capabilities, and The Daily – a news app that allows users to "access the best of print, web, and broadcast news from around the world."
The update also brings Bluetooth 3.0 compatibility, additional support for more Wi-Fi routers, DivX, security patches, enhancements to TouchWiz's music and video players, and built-in support for "industry standard VPN clients." There's no word yet on just when the update will be available, but we'll be here to keep you updated. Read More
If, like many LTE Galaxy Nexus users, you are frustrated by Verizon's choice to block Google Wallet from Samsung's hottest new device, and don't want to root just yet, XDA has some good news. It turns out that Google's standard Wallet APK can be installed on the Nexus' LTE variant without issue.
The news came after many rooted users reported issues using a flashable .zip file to get Google Wallet up and running. Read More
After a rollercoaster of emotions and months of waiting, the back-from-mythical Galaxy Nexus was finally released on Verizon yesterday, but were the main reasons for the delays, in fact, related to unstable and poor connectivity? I've had endless problems with connectivity on the Thunderbolt (even with the latest firmware), and plenty of you had similar issues with pretty much all other LTE devices.
Can the Galaxy Nexus be no different? Read More
If you're the proud new owner of a Galaxy Nexus on Verizon, then your device should be receiving its first OTA update sometime today. It's mostly a bug-fixer, with a few optimizations thrown into the mix:
- Optimized Mobile Hotspot when used with VPN.
- Optimized 3G/4G data sessions for faster response times.
- Fixed an incorrect notification that “data wasdisconnected due to roaming”.
- Wi-Fi now automatically reconnects when returning to a known Access Point.
There's no doubt that a good number of you are foaming at the mouth waiting to get your hands on the Galaxy Nexus, which is finally available today. While we've already seen a few sites drop the price a bit, none have been able to match the price that LetsTalk is offering the GN for: $155 for new customers, $175 for upgrades. That's half-off the price that VZW is asking for new customers! Read More
