There were some delays, but HTC's last-generation flagship device is getting the bump up to Android 4.2.2. Yes, AT&T has approved the OTA for its version of the HTC One X. Sadly, this will be the last new version of Android it sees. It's better than nothing, though.

It's that time again - Google has updated the developer dashboard with new platform distribution numbers. Following a predictable trend, KitKat has eked out its own 1.1% niche, Jelly Bean (API version 16-18) is going strong at 54.5%, putting it further over the mark it reached last month, running on over half of all devices that have checked in to the Google Play Store in the past two weeks, while Gingerbread's grip continues to slip, decreasing to 24.1% from 26.3% last month.

The newest update to EA's free-to-play racing title Real Racing 3 has an assortment of shiny new things to dangle in front of you. Of course, you'll have to pay for most of them, but the game is a free download, and there aren't many games that can match to overall quality of the racing experience in RR3.

Included in this update are Ferrari vehicles like the 458 Italia and the V12-powered F12 Berlinetta.

HTC said a while back that the Android 4.3 update would hit all US HTC One handsets by the end of September. That obviously didn't happen, but the company wasn't too far off in the case of Sprint. That version of the device is getting the update today.

It's a situation too many Android users are intimately familiar with. You get a shiny new phone, and you love it. Then the days turn to weeks, the weeks to months, and suddenly a new version of your phone is released. Oh sure, at first you think it will be fine. The new phone is faster and thinner, but you like your smartphone. Then the updates dry up like a puddle in the unforgiving desert sun, and your phone slides slowly into complete obsolescence.
