After ASUS's Singapore Facebook stated an Android 4.0 OTA would be hitting the OG Transformer as late as March, it now seems that ASUS UK's Facebook page is indicating that said update will be landing in the next week:

A quick refresher on the TF101 ICS Update that you are all so patiently waiting for. Our engineers are working hard on getting this ready for you as soon as possible and are still aiming for a February release.

Remember the big ol' port-tastic Toshiba Thrive 10.1 and its seven-inch baby brother? Well, Toshiba has been running around telling folks on one of those social sites that it will be bringing ICS to this pair of Android tablet "at the end of spring."

Yes, spring.

When we hear end of spring, we automatically think sometime around mid-to-end of June, which is, well, quite a ways off. Of course, this isn't an 'official' statement per se, but considering the word came directly from Toshiba's PR Manager, it does carry some weight.

Owners of Motorola's Droid X should be expecting an OTA update "soon," which will bring the device's build up to version 4.5.621.MB810. Despite the fact that Verizon's announcement page says "Droid X2" in the title, the update will in fact bring its bevy of enhancements to the original Droid X. Among these are improvements to the OTA process itself, browser security (a la Google's 2.3.6 security patch), and various stability and bug fixes.

Samsung-Epic-4G-Touch

The poor, neglected Galaxy S series of phones may have earned Samsung a reputation for being slow to update their devices, especially here in the states. Today, however, a build of Ice Cream Sandwich for the Epic 4G Touch was leaked that suggests Samsung is making decent progress on the ICS front. So, while Sammy may be a touch on the slow side, at last they're working on it! That's something, right?

Samsung-Continuum11

I know what you're thinking - Continuum? Wtf is that? It's that novelty phone released back in November of '10 with two screens: the actual display, and the "ticker" underneath.

When it was release, it shipped with Android 2.1 (that's Éclair for those who haven't been in the Android game for more than a year). Guess what? That hasn't changed. Yes, those poor souls who bought the Continuum have been stuck running 2.1 for more than a year.

Paper Camera, one of the most successful camera apps on the Android Market, got an update to version 2.0 today. You may remember our preview of version 2.0 earlier this month, 2.0 being the update which promised to add video capability to the already awesome app. Well, JFDP Labs LTD has made good on that promise, and thrown in a few other tweaks as well.

At the moment, only the Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy SII, Galaxy Note, Droid 3, and Transformer Prime have official video support, but JFDP advises that other devices "might have some degree of support."

Besides added video capabilities, Paper Camera has also received support for Android Beam, allowing users to transfer images seamlessly between devices powered by Ice Cream Sandwich.

Last week, HTC detailed the Android 4.0 update for several handsets, but many U.S. models were noticeable absent form the list. Today, the Taiwanese manufacturer has taken to its Facebook page to highlight some of the North American handsets that will see the update, most of which are on Verizon. It's a shorty, but goodie:

  • Thunderbolt
  • Rhyme
  • Droid Incredible 2
  • Rezound
  • Raider (Rogers and Bell in Canada)

Sadly, HTC left out any timeline details, so we really have no idea of knowing when to expect these update to roll out.

Over the weekend, Acer started pushing the Android 4.0 update to the Iconia Tab A200. Yesterday, Acer ANZ announced that the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Iconia Tab A500 would be rolling out in April in Australia and New Zealand. Today, in an attempt to roll a turkey, Acer America followed suit and announced the ICS update for not only the A500, but the A100 along with it:

Just 9 days ago, Asus rolled out an update for the quad-core Transfomer Prime that brought things to build 9.4.2.13. Today, a new (apparently incremental) was released that brings things up to 9.4.2.14. The only official word we have on the update is from Gary Key, Technical Marketing Manager at Asus, in an XDA thread:

.14 will be released tomorrow (US/TW, WW/DE/Others early next week) ,should solve the power problems that some users experienced after the .13 update.
