If you already use Remember the Milk to handle your todo lists, then there's a good chance you already know about this update. If you're not currently using RtM, though, then maybe it's time to give it another look.

The latest update brings an enhanced interface for more intuitive task management, as well as some new features and widgets. The updated app also includes another major change: it's now free for everyone.

While HTC does not specify exactly what the ~9 MB update addresses, the timing seems right to relate to the preceding story.

Dropbox, arguably one of the best file storage/sharing services around, recently released the new beta version of their app for Android, making it even easier to access files on the go that may otherwise be spread across several devices.

Besides bug fixes, the new beta includes the ability to store "favorite" files for quick offline viewing, bulk upload for multiple photos and videos, renaming of files and folders, upload from and export to local storage, and last but not least, a hugely improved UI which includes a more appealing gallery view and quick, one-tap access to file options.

Remember the Motorola XPRT? No? Allow me to refresh your memory... yeah, that phone. The Droid Pro. Only... not. Whatever it is, it's currently getting an OTA update to fix some bugs and, well, that's pretty much it. Here's the changelog:

  • CDMA Settings
  • Dialing International voice calls with 1+ while on the Sprint network (dialing from the US) and while in domestic roaming mode
  • Sending SMS messages with more than 160 characters
  • EAS PIN support
  • Email marker to indicate if a message was replied to or forwarded
  • Voicemail issue associated with phone number swaps on existing devices

So, if you're one of the seven (give or take a few) people that bought the XPRT, hit Settings > About Phone > Software Updates > Update Motorola Firmware to make it happen.

Motorola Photon GHLks

A minor OTA update is currently rolling out to the Motorola Photon 4G that brings a few bug fixes and one notable feature: Google Talk with Video support. Other than that, it's a pretty bland update:

  • Lapdock support
  • Enhancements to image appearance when pictures are taken in panorama mode
  • Forwarded messages are properly identified as being forwarded
  • Improved audio quality with car speakers when connected to a car charger and audio
  • Introduction of international roaming 3G UMTS hotspot functionality for a single Wi-Fi enabled

While this update doesn't bring a whole slew of game-changing features, I'm sure it's still a welcome one for Photon owners.

Online game rental service Gamefly pushed an update to its official app today which brings the same social experience to Android phones and tablets that iOS users have had since April of this year. The service allows you to create a profile and connect with other users for online gameplay (through XBox Live, PSN, or WII), follow other gamers to find out what they're playing, comment on others' posts, share content, and seamlessly integrate with Twitter or Facebook.

Bringing probably one of the most useful changes to the web Android Market since its reveal, Google just rolled out an update to how user reviews can be sorted. But first, a little bit of history. When the Market was released, all reviews were sorted in a natural reverse chronological order.

At some point later, Google changed the sort to float most helpful reviews to the top (whatever that algorithm may be), which infuriated many as now old and oftentimes irrelevant reviews showed up above newer, more useful ones.

When the official Google Docs app was released a few months ago, we were all pretty excited about it. Since then, I've been using it on my phone and tablet, but have longed for an update that improved the interface on Honeycomb. That day has finally come.

Google just announced via the Google Docs Blog that an update is now available for the app, bringing an entirely new design for Honeycomb tablets.

If your rough-and-rugged style made the Casio G'zOne your perfect Android counterpart, then we have good news for you: Gingerbread is on its way to your little tank-of-a-phone right now.

The updates is rolling out in typical OTA fashion, and brings a few new features and fixes to the device (aside from Gingerbread, of course):

  • Screen will brighten upon touch when phone is docked during a voice call
  • Proximity sensor accurately senses presence during a voice call
  • Auto-signature can be enabled within SMS/MMS messages (but on behalf of everyone in the world, I would like to ask that you don't use this feature.

As promised late last month, Adobe has released updated versions of their Flash Player and AIR products to the Android Market. In our earlier article we outlined some of the new features that the updates would bring including, Stage 3D, an architecture that enables hardware-accelerated rendering at 1000x the speed of Flash Player 10, theatre-quality HD video, native 64-bit optimizations, and HD video conferencing. Unfortunately, the latest blog post from Adobe indicates that 2D and 3D graphics rendering through Stage 3D will only be available on Windows, Mac OS X and connected TVs.
