Worms 2: Armageddon Coming To The Play Store In The Not Too Distant Future

The Worms games are fabulous turn-based combat experiences that consumed many hours of my formative years. The original Worms was ported to Android a few years ago, but it was riddled with bugs and has since been abandoned by publisher EA. Here's hoping that Worms 2: Armageddon is delivered in better shape when it hits the Play Store this spring.

Samsung Stratosphere II For Verizon Finally Official, Available 'In The Coming Weeks' For $129

We've seen a few leaks of Verizon's upcoming Stratosphere II over the past couple of months, and Big Red just made the handset official. As expected, it's a modest mid-ranger with a 4-inch display and powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor. Like its predecessor, the Stratosphere II will also sport a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

This global-ready Android 4.0 handset will be available "in the coming weeks" for $129, but that's after a $50 mail-in-rebate and a two year agreement.

Images Of Google Play Gift Cards Show Up Online In $10 And $25 Increments

Last night, Artem tore down the APK of the new Play Store and found a whole bunch of upcoming goodies, including  support for wishlists and gift cards. The first physical evidence of said gift cards has now landed in the hands of Android Central, showing off what we'll likely see soon in retail stores across the country.

[Update: It's Live!] Sega Announces Sonic 4 Episode 2 Is Heading To Tegra 3 Devices May 16th

We heard about it back in February, and now it looks like Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode II is about to start rolling out. Those of you with Tegra 3 chips in your devices, get ready to have your SoCs rocked off*. Everyone else will be waiting for a little while. The gaming company's follow-up to Episode I of the same game will launch on Android tomorrow, for $6.99.

Rugged Motorola Defy+ Is Now A Reality - Coming To Asia, Europe, And Latin America This Fall

A few weeks ago, we heard a rumor that Motorola was working on a beefier version of the super rugged Defy, simple called the Defy+. Those rumors were realized today, as Moto official announced this new incarnation to the Defy line, complete with a faster processor and an upgraded shell.

The Defy+ will rock a 1GHz processor "that runs 25% faster" than the current Defy, Android 2.3.x, a 5MP rear shooter, 2GB built-in storage, and a 1700mAh battery underneath its 3.7 inch shell.
