We first heard about Vavo through its Kickstarter campaign – which was successfully funded by roughly 200% – back in June of last year. The product has been available in the retail scene for a little while now, and I've actually had a pair of them (one white, one black) for the last few months. As such, I've had plenty of time to get a feel for VaVo's strengths, as well as its weaknesses.

With that, let's take a closer looksee.

What is it?

As described by UDS, VaVo is "an ultra portable universal smart phone and smart device accessory. It has 2 simple functions, propping your device at a variety of angles and mounting your device on flat vertical surfaces for viewing purposes." And that pretty much sums it up: it's a removable, versatile kickstand-esque accessory.

As someone with approximately 1600 gadgets laying around the house at all times, I constantly have charging cables everywhere. On the floor. On the desk. On my nightstand. In the kitchen, living room, and even the car. You get the idea. For the longest time, I have used the binder clip trick to manage the flurry of chargers on my desk. But now, UDS – the creators of Capta and Vavo – have a better solution: Snable.

The company was cool enough to send me a couple of pre-production samples made with a 3D printer, so this is the first time that we've actually gotten to spend some hands-on time with a Kickstarter project before it even started funding.

I'd like to think that office/home organization is a pretty big deal to most people, because it certainly is to me. Perhaps it's just my nature, but I live by the motto "a place for everything and everything in its place." Then again, I'm a Virgo, so being a freak about things like that is engrained into my very being (or so I've read, anyway). Ergo, I'm always looking for new ways to make things more organized and easier to find.

Enter MODO, on of the coolest modular desk organizers I've ever seen.

This versatile little tool of joy comes to us as a Kickstarter project from B&A Studio, with a little help from our friends at UDS, the makers of CAPTA.

A few weeks ago, UDS offered a deal to Android Police readers for a silver Capta and three PuGoo pads for $30. By now, the bulk of you who ordered have probably received your goodies, and some of you may already be looking for new ways to use Capta. We already know that it makes an excellent accessory to attach your phone to a tripod, but it also makes an awesome dash mount in the car.

But how? you may be asking. Allow me to explain.

Back at the beginning of July, we took a look at the Arkon Dash mount with Friction Pad.

I'm sure you all remember the "magic alien goo" that lets your device stick to basically anything - walls, ceilings, mirrors... whatever. When we first told you about it, the samples UDS had on hand sold out double-quick. Good news: it's finally back in stock! For $10, you can score one 8" x 4" PuGoo pad and stick your phone (or small tablet) virtually anywhere.

UDS is also offering a killer deal for Android Police readers: one silver Capta and three PuGoo Pads for a a mere $30! If each item were ordered individually, you'd end up paying over $60 for the same set.

UDS, the company that brought us Capta (which we loved) and now working on Vavo, has a limited quantity of pads made of what I called "magic alien goo" - a key ingredient used in its products. It's sort of a weird material made in part with polyurethane (PU), which is both sticky and not sticky at the same time - but in exactly the right ways.

I have been playing with a PU pad for the last month or so, and it's now become my trusty gym companion. Heck, I can bring it anywhere, slap it on pretty much any surface, and voila - an instant phone holder.
