Falcon Pro Hits v1.9, Brings New Font, Moveable Action Bar, And Several Bug Fixes

When it comes to Twitter clients on Android, Falcon Pro is hard to beat. It's fast, functional, and dang pretty to look at. Aside from that, though, it's also very well-supported, as the dev is constantly adding new features or fixing bugs.

Full Falcon Pro Twitter Client Now In The Play Store, And It's Even Better Than The Widget

After Successful Test Period, Echofon For Android Finally Lands In The Play Store

Exactly one month ago today, the first alpha version of the popular Twitter client Echofon hit for Android. At the time, it felt a lot more like a beta than alpha, as the app was quite polished and very usable. Two weeks later however, the first beta dropped, adding even more functionality and features to the app.

Back in mid-October, popular Twitter client Echofon released an alpha version of its Android app. While it was relatively polished for an alpha, it was still lacking in features and, of course, had its fair share of bugs.

Alpha Version Of The Popular Twitter Client 'Echofon' For Android Hits The 'Net, Already Works Surprisingly Well

For those who may not know, Echofon is a pretty popular Twitter client for iOS, Windows, Mac, and - strangely enough - Firefox. It combines a clean interface with basic Twitter functionality in a lightweight package; as such, many Android users have been waiting for it to makes its way over to our side of the fence.

Echofon for Android alpha recently became available, and after playing with it for a few minutes, I have to say that it looks and feels much more polished than I expected.

Twitter For Android Updated To Version 3.3 - New Push Notification Options, Expanded Tweet Support, And More

Twitter for Android had been updated to version 3.3, adding support for Twitter's new "expanded tweet" feature, as well as account-specific push notifications. You can now select any account you're following, and using the drop down menu, choose to receive push notifications whenever that account makes a new tweet. Pretty awesome stuff.

Auto-complete for user searches has become smarter as well, and you can now tap on the avatar of any account from a tweet to go directly to the user page.

Twitter For Android App Updated To Version 3.2, Brings Push Notifications For RT's, Favorites, And New Followers (And More)

Twitter for Android has been updated to 3.2, and brings a bevy of changes, the most important being much-needed push notifications for retweets, favorites, and new followers.

The icons at the top of the app have also been changed up, and are slightly larger (the Home icon actually looks a bit different), along with other minor UI changes. The Discover tab has been completely revamped according to the changelog, as well, which you can see below:

What's in this version:

  1. Updated design and improved relevance of Discover stories
  2. Activity in Discover tab shows who your connections follow, updates to their lists, and which Tweets they retweet and favorite
  3. Spelling suggestions and related searches in search results
  4. Username autocomplete in search
  5. New push notifications for when your Tweets have been retweeted, favorited, or when you have new followers
  6. New languages: Traditional Chinese, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Polish, Hungarian, Thai
