AMC, the American cable channel that's home to shows like Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and The Walking Dead, has more apps than you might think. There's AMC Extras, a bunch of DVD-style content to promote various shows, AMC Tablet, which is basically a companion app for said shows, specialized apps for half a dozen other shows, and even a Christmas movie app. Now they've launched one that's just for watching new episodes... which makes sense, considering that's what most people want to do with their content in the first place.
Episodes that are currently available to stream go in and out on a rolling basis, but the important ones (new episodes of currently-airing shows) appear a day or so after the episode has aired on cable television. Read More
Google mixed things up a bit this week as all of the biggest app updates turned up on Monday, leaving mostly bug fixes and minor tweaks to roll out on Wednesday. We didn't get to see anything exciting from the likes of Keep, Gmail, or most of the other updates, but Play Movies & TV came packing at least one extra. True TV fans will be able to binge watch an uninterrupted stream of episodes from their favorite shows.

Google knows how annoying it is to miss the next episode of your favorite show because you didn't know when it was going to air, so now when you do a simple search for a TV show, Google will display a list of episodes directly in the search results. The episodes appear in descending order, so the upcoming episode should appear at the top with previous episodes listed below. Google released a screenshot on Google+ of the new feature in action.
