Finding a decent ten inch tablet that won't break the bank can be an interesting process. There are so many options on the market, it's easy to get overwhelmed. If, however, you're in the market for something from the ASUS Transformer line, there's a pretty solid deal on eBay happening right now: the Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T is just $200. Keep in mind that we're talking about the Tegra 3 model here, by the way - not last year's TF701, which features the Tegra 4 chip.
If you want a powerful, high-resolution tablet from a reputable manufacturer, you're going to have to pay for it. If you'd like to pay considerably less, you should check out the current Adorama listing for ASUS' flagship Transformer Pad. The Infinity TF701T is on sale for $349.99, a full $100 off of the retail price. It's also $50 below Amazon's price.
The TF701T is the latest and greatest tablet in the line, combining a speedy Tegra 4 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 2560x1600 resolution to make a compellingly capable tablet.
If you're looking for a tablet with world-beating specs, one of the highest-resolution screens available, and impressive expansion options, you'll want to look at Amazon today. The new ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity, with its NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor and 2560x1600 screen, is fifty bucks off the retail price. You can pick it up on Amazon for $399.95, with free two-day shipping if you're an Amazon Prime subscriber. It's unclear if this is a sale or a new regular price.
Amazon subsidiary Woot.com has taken the wraps off another one of its big tablet sales. This promotion isn't like their normal "one deal a day" operations - the prices will be good until November 1st at 9AM Central, though the individual listings are still limited by stock. The good deals are on refurbished Samsung and Asus hardware, though some of the dirt-cheap tablets you might see in the discount aisle are also there.
Good grief, but the people who run eBay's Daily Deals portal really love their Android tablets. After discounts on Nexuses for the last couple of weeks, today we get one of ASUS' flagship tablets at a significant discount. A refurbished Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T (the Tegra 3 model from 2012) is going for just $289.99 with free shipping. That's $210 off the current retail price.
The bad news is that it's a refurbished tablet.
Looking for a high-res tablet, and don't mind getting a model that's a bit long in the tooth? Then you'll want to check out Tiger Direct's listing for the 32GB Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700. This 1920x1200 10" tablet is a pretty great deal at $279.99, assuming you're OK with a somewhat outdated Tegra 3 processor, a refurbished model, and a $50 mail-in rebate. Jeez, but I wish those things would die - the rebates, not the Tegra 3.
Watch out, Transformer fans, ASUS is about to give you something pretty great to drool over. As part of its Computex 2013 announcement, the OEM gave away details of the shiny new replacement to the once reigning king of Android tablets, the Transformer Pad Infinity.
Virtually every spec will see a significant improvement as part of the refresh, owing quite a bit to the equipped Tegra 4 system-on-a-chip. Most notably, the display resolution will rival Samsung's current leader, the Nexus 10, at 2560 x 1600.
At the beginning of March, ASUS became the first company to push Android 4.2 to a non-Nexus device when the update came to the TF300. At the time, the company promised 4.2 for the TF700 and MeMO Pad Smart sometime "in the second quarter." We're now three days into Q2, and ASUS has started pushing the update to the TF700 (Infinity). Talk about delivering on promises.
Announced late last night on the official ASUS Facebook page, the update brings all sorts of goodies to the device:
It's that time again, Transformer Pad Infinity owners! The latest incremental update to Android 4.1 is out and ready to flash for US, Japan, China, and Taiwan models, and the international version to boot. You can check your Settings menu for the over-the-air download, or head over to the ASUS download page if you're not seeing it immediately.
So what's new? A few bugs for the camera, Mio map, and movie studio app are fixed, and compatibility with newer MicroSD cards is enhanced.
