Motorola Photon Q Available Today From Sprint For $200 With A Two-Year Agreement

We've been talking about Sprint's upcoming LTE QWERTY, the Motorola Photon Q, for a few weeks now, and it's officially here. As of today, you can walk into a Sprint store and buy this "green machine with the power of Android" for the low, low price of $200 with a two-year agreement.

Sprint Updates Pricing And Bandwidth For Non-Smartphone Data Plans

In order to remain competitive, Sprint is constantly tweaking its data plans for non-smartphone devices like tablets, mobile hotspots, and laptops. The most recent update to the plans came today, which offers an increase in bandwidth, as well as a drop in price -- always a good combination.

These changes apply to non-smartphone devices only. Smartphones still have unlimited data.

Beginning immediately, The Now Network will be offering 6GB of data for $49.99 and 12GB for $79.99; if that's too much bandwidth for you, though, there is a 1GB option (tablets only) for $19.99, as well as a 3GB plan (tablets and mobile hotspots only) for $34.99.

Sprint Posts Q3 2011 Earnings Report - Biggest Jump In Wireless Subscribers In Five Years, Still Reported A Net Loss Of $301 Million

Sprint just released its Q3 earnings report, and while it's nothing to boast about, it does offer some encouraging numbers for the Now Network. Its operating revenue is up to $8.3 billion -- a slight jump up from this time last year. It also saw a major jump in wireless subscribers, adding 1.3 million new customers -- a five year high for the company. Out of the 1.3 million, 304,000 were post-paid, 485,000 were pre-paid, and 835,000 were wholesale. Sprint lost about 44,000 post-paid customers in Q3, which is a major improvement over last quarter when it lost a whopping 100,000 subscribers (ouch).

The deal is not as sweet for current Sprintsters, though, as the price is nearly doubled for a contract renewal ($180), which will still save you a bit of change versus the retail front.

Sprint has been making great strides to bash its competitors and show us who has the real unlimited data plan as of late, but this new ad puts it all on the table: Verizon and AT&T charge overage fees for anything more than 2GB and T-Mobile throttles your speed after a certain amount of consumed bandwidth, but The Now Network gives you unlimited data, sans-catch for one price. The more Sprint ads I see, the more I want to jump ship from Verizon, so they must be doing something right.

Sprint Offering $50 Incentive To Customers Close To The End Of Their Contract

If you're one-or-two months away from the end of your Sprint contract, or your renewal date has already passed, the Now Network has a new incentive going to draw you back into the store to grab a new phone and sign on the dotted line. According to an internal document nabbed by SprintFeed, if you meet the aforementioned conditions as of July 8th, you will receive a $50 credit when you renew your contract.

This is definitely a good deal for anyone on the fence about upgrading, so you should probably pop into your local Sprint store and take advantage of it before it ends on August 2nd.
