Another day, another round of nightly builds for the upcoming CyanogenMod 10.1. This time, the latest release of the custom ROM that brings Android 4.2 has been made available on a further 3 devices: the Google Nexus S, Nexus S 4G, and the ASUS Transformer Pad 300 (TF300T).

Definition: A "nightly" is a bleeding edge release that is built on a daily basis, usually at night after a full day's worth of new code has been committed.

It could oftentimes be unstable and not properly tested, lacking any changelogs, but eventually evolving into alphas, betas, release candidates, and finally stable releases.

One of the nicest options of ASUS' line of tablets is the keyboard dock with a built-in extra battery that can make your device run forever and much easier to type on. The downside? Those docks tend to cost over $100. In the case of the Transformer Pad 300 (TF300), exactly $127, to be precise. Right now, though, Newegg is offering it for free if you buy it with the tablet. The deal is available in both blue and white options.

Be sure to check the "2 Item Combo" check box. If you attempt to add the two accessories separately, you won't get the discount.

Asus Transformer Pad TF300T Getting OTA Update To 10.4.2.13

A new update for Asus' middle-range Android tablet is rolling out at this very moment. Users on XDA are reporting getting the update notification, but it appears to be a little fickle with rooted devices. The abbreviated changelog claims this is a simple stability enhancement.

Update: This build is now available as a full ROM over at ASUS' TF300 Downloads.

To get the software on a rooted device, it is recommended that you take a few steps before applying the update. First, unfreeze all your system apps, backup your root (with OTA RootKeeper), reboot, then apply your update.

ASUS Transformer Pad 300's Full Jelly Bean Firmware For WW (Worldwide) And TW Versions Now Available For Download

A bit less than two weeks ago, the TF300 became the first non-Nexus ASUS tablet to receive an update to Jelly Bean, starting with the U.S. Several days later, ASUS posted the full Jelly Bean ROM v10.4.2.9, though only for U.S. variants, and almost immediately started the OTA rollout in Europe.

If you have one of these TF300s with a WW (worldwide) or TW (Taiwan) SKU and haven't gotten the OTA yet (or messed something up and want to restore), the full ROMs are now downloadable from the TF300 support page (select Download -> Android):

[Deal Alert] Buy An ASUS Transformer Pad (TF300T) From Sears, Get A Free Dock

One of the most appealing aspects of owning a tablet from ASUS' Transformer line is the optional keyboard dock. It turns the tablet into an Android-powered netbook of sorts, making note taking, replying to emails, and other general productivity-based things much easier. The included battery also boosts usable time by up to four+ hours on most models, making the dock even more useful.

The main problem with the keyboard accessory, however, is the price tag; after spending $400+ on a new tablet, many users don't want to shell out the extra $150 to add the dock. After all, for $550, you can get a [somewhat] decent low-end laptop.

ASUS Releases Firmware, Kernel Source Code For The Transformer Pad 300 (TF300T)

You can head to ASUS' site right now and download firmware version V9.4.3.17 for a few countries including the US, as well as version V9.2.3.23 if you're in Japan. Kernel source code for the TF300T is also available, in both x.17 and x.23 flavors for your downloading pleasure.
