Tesco Announces Hudl2 Tablet In UK With Enhanced Parental Controls And Improved Specs

Tesco isn't a big name in the US, but the UK-based chain is the second most profitable retailer in the world after Walmart. The company began as a supermarket, but has since expanded into general goods and even technology. Hence, the new Hudl2 tablet, a follow-up to the popular 2013 Hudl tablet aimed at families. Hudl2 is bigger, faster, and prettier than the first Hudl, and it's available soon for just £129 (about $200).

Google Play Gift Cards Launch In The UK At Places Like Tesco, In Accordance With The Prophecy

Just a few days ago, we saw a hint that Google might be ready to expand its gift card program to the UK. Today, our suspicions are confirmed as the cards have started showing up at the distinctly British Tesco grocery stores. So far the only denominations confirmed are £10 and £25, though the support pages indicate that there are some £50 vouchers running around out there somewhere.

Tesco Now Testing In-Store Navigation System Accessible From Your Android Phone

Let's face it: large physical retail stores can be difficult to navigate at times, especially for first-time shoppers. To help alleviate this problem, UK retailer Tesco (informally known as the European Walmart) has developed and is now testing an in-store GPS system that can be accessed from an Android phone.

Upon opening the app, you'll be greeted with an empty shopping list which you can fill with any and all products available at Tesco. This isn't just any shopping list, however; step into the Tesco Extra store in northeast London and a comprehensive store map will appear on your handset, complete with the locations of all the items on your list.

Galaxy Tab Prices Slashed On Both Sides Of The Pond: $250 At T-Mobile USA, £359 At Tesco UK

TmoNews posted an image last night confirming that tomorrow, the price of the Galaxy Tab with a new T-Mobile 2-year contract will be cut to just $250 after mail-in rebate - $50 less than the current mark. Price cuts for the Galaxy Tab have been popping up all over it seems, and after Verizon announced that it'll be getting a new-and-improved 4G Galaxy Tab with a faster 1.2GHz processor, it makes sense. Unfortunately, the Tab will still cost you 500 big ones off-contract at T-Mo.
