Back in 2008, a little game called The Conduit landed on the Wii, and plenty of gamers held it as an example that the console's non-standard control system was up to the twitchy task of first-person shooter gameplay. The Conduit HD is now available for Android as well, hoping to prove not only that the platform is viable for high-end gaming, but that the hardware is also capable of replicating console visuals.

At the moment, the game is only available for Tegra 2 and 3 devices, and the free download requires a $4.99 in-app purchase (or two easy payments of $2.99!) to unlock the full game.

Most of you will be familiar with Real Boxing after following the coverage on NVIDIA's Project Shield, in which the iOS pilgrim was heavily featured. While you'll have to wait a few more months to get a hold of NVIDIA's gaming hardware, the boxing game is available today on Google Play. $4.99 will get you what's easily one of the most graphically intensive titles on Android, though you'll need to be rocking a Tegra-powered device to see them.

Real Boxing strives for realism in every aspect of gameplay, starting you off as a rookie boxer trying to work through the ranks.

BLU

What would you say if I told you that a new series of phones is coming out that can get you some pretty top specs, while keeping the pricing around $300 off contract? Would you be intrigued? That's exactly what BLU Products is doing with its upcoming lineup of Quattro phones.

If you haven't heard of BLU before now, let me give you a brief intro: this is a company to keep an eye on, because they're putting out some beautiful hardware while keeping the prices extremely affordable. Like most carrier-free manufacturers, they focus on quad-band GSM devices – the Quattro series is no exception.

Do you like physics games? I sure do. Puddle THD happens to be a great game in this category if you happen to have a Tegra 3 device. The puzzle-centric fluid simulator is typically available on the Play Store for $5, but today the app has gone on sale for a measly $0.99 to celebrate its first whole year on the market. Not bad!

To get an idea of what this game is like you can either watch the video above or rely on my words. Here they are: have you ever wondered what Sonic the Hedgehog would be like if Sonic were a glob of semi-viscous goo?

If you like Nexus tablets, Vizio is gunning for your wallet. Today, the company announced a duo of tablets running stock Android. The first is most similar to the Nexus 10: a 10" display with the same retina-melting 2560x1600 resolution, only this one is powered by a Tegra 4 processor. Kal-El may not be a slouch, but let's be real. It's hard to not envy the 72 GPU cores that Wayne is packing.

Here are the known specs for the device:

  • 10" 2560x1600 display
  • Tegra 4 SoC
  • 32GB storage
  • Front & rear cameras
  • Mini USB (Yes, mini not micro; see center photo below)
  • Micro HDMI
  • Android 4.2 Jelly Bean (model shown running 4.1)

As if that wasn't enough, the company also announced a direct Nexus 7 competitor.

It's time to wrap up our NVIDIA Tegra holiday giveaways here at Android Police, and we've saved what we think is the best for last. We really like the One X (color may not be white as shown below, just FYI), and by relation, we also really like the One X+. So we're giving away one of each today, courtesy of NVIDIA, both with a little deal-sweetener right in the box, in the form of a $25 AMEX gift card.

If you're a Final Fantasy fan, you'll want to get yourself over to the Play Store as soon as possible, because Square Enix has just released Final Fantasy II and Final Fantasy Dimensions for Android.

The titles don't come cheap; Final Fantasy II is priced at $7, whereas Dimensions will put you back $20, but considering how much similar games from Square on other platforms cost, it's not a terrible deal.

The two Final Fantasy titles don't require a top-of-the-range smartphone to run smoothly, but if you want to play Demon's Score THD, Square's third release on Android today, you'll need a device which has a Tegra 3 chip.

Tuesday is traditionally the release date for new games, but those of you who have an Nvidia Tegra-powered smartphone or tablet can get your hands on two brand new titles this evening. The first, Sumioni: Demon Arts, is a port from the PlayStation Vita game of the same name released this spring. Razor: Salvation is an iOS convert, gracing Android after its debut in the summer. Sumioni is a pricey $12.83, while Razor is $2.03 with in-app purchases, both prices in USD. Non-Tegra owners need not apply for either, at least not yet.

Sumioni: Demon Arts is a rather unique title, giving the player control of a demon who paints his way through levels with a calligraphy brush.
