Samsung's Pro series tablets are getting a little long in the tooth these days, but it's hard to pass on the deal being offered at Groupon today. You can get a refurbished Tab Pro for as little as $174.99, but you have mere hours to decide.

Update 12/7/14: The deal is back today.

You may have had high hopes for the Nexus 9 only to read our review (along with many other sites') and have decided that maybe it isn't the slate for you. But maybe you still want something larger than last year's Nexus 7. Perhaps you prefer how Samsung goes about making hardware. If either of these are true, then listen up.For Cyber Monday, Best Buy is selling new Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4's for a little less than the price of used or refurbished models elsewhere. They just want you to part with $199.99.

There are a lot of good options in the mid-sized tablet range, and if you're a fan of Samsung's designs, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is among the best. Right now you can grab a refurbished black model off of eBay for 9.99, a full $200 off of the retail price. Of course, it's not quite the latest model (that would be the Galaxy Tab S, with its AMOLED screen), so most retailers have it discounted, but it's still a fantastic deal.

So that new Nexus 9 is $400, and there isn't even a lower-tier tablet from Google anymore. So how are you supposed to get your low-cost tablet fix? Maybe this eBay deal will do it. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is on sale for $250, which is half the MSRP and a good $100 cheaper than most current prices. It's a refurb device, but that's still a solid deal.

Samsung has approximately two dozen tablet lines, one of which is the Tab Pro. These are the somewhat premium slates with high-resolution LCDs (not AMOLEDs) and Exynos processors. You can pick up the 10.1-inch member of this family of tablets for just $250 on eBay right now. That's half the MSRP and about $100 less than current prices.

Samsung's Galaxy Tab Pro series was massively overpriced when it was introduced, but like most Samsung devices, it gets some pretty good discounts at retail. Best Buy is offering the 8.4 inch Wi-Fi tablet at 9.99, which is a solid $80 off of the current retail price and $150 off of the launch price from seven months ago. It's available in both black and white, and this is a new device, not refurbished.

For all the grief we give Samsung tablets about fake leather and physical home buttons, the higher tiers of hardware have some great specs. Speed demons and resolution fanatics might be particularly enthralled with the Tab Pro series, all of which feature 2560x1600 screens. If you appreciate the hardware but could do without Samsung's Android skin, the developers at CyanogenMod now support the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1.

There's supposed to be a Nexus tablet at some point, but what if your fingers are aching to tap on a new tablet right now? Well, you have a dilemma. There's no reason you have to spend big to get your gadget fix. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is usually a $400 device, but you can pick up a refurb for a mere $219.99 on eBay Daily Deals.

In the market for a new tablet? Have a "the bigger, the better" mentality? Don't want to spend more than $400 on a new tablet? Good news all around: Groupon has some good deals on the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 and Tab Pro 12.2 today – both the black and white versions of each are going for $299 and $380 respectively. It's worth noting that these are refurbished units, but hey, they're $100-$150 off the price of a new device.

When Sammy's Tab Pro/Note Pro line debuted, the Android masses alternately laughed and fumed at their over-the-top pricing. Thank goodness for market correction: nearly all the models in the series have seen significant discounts from the usual suspects, and today the 12.2-inch Galaxy Tab Pro gets another go-round on eBay. A refurbished version of the 32GB tablet can be yours for 7.99, a full $300 off the MSRP and almost $200 cheaper than Amazon's current price.

To really get in there and get your hands dirty tinkering with a tablet, you need a good custom recovery. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 is due for some tinkering today as TWRP comes to Samsung's biggest Android slate. You can grab the files right now on the TWRP device page and get flashing.

Thanks to its "just right" size and low price tag (at least relative to the other members of the Tab Pro family), the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is my pick of the litter. And if you'd like to pick one up for even less, Best Buy is offering a new one for a whopping 0 off of retail. You can get a white or black Tab Pro from the big box retailer in its base 16GB configuration for $279.99. Not bad at all, even when you compare it to Amazon's current price ($330).

Samsung's Pro line of tablets was considered ridiculously expensive when it debuted, but thankfully for those who want in on the hardware, the market is quickly correcting the company's overzealous pricing. After seeing big price drops on eBay in both May and June, the refurbished Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 is now cheaper than it's ever been at 9.99. That's nearly $300 off the retail price of the new tablet, and much more palatable when compared to offerings from competing manufacturers.

Maybe you want a huge tablet. 10.1-inches of screen just isn't enough for some people, which is fine. Samsung knows how those people feel, which is why it released the Tab Pro 12.2. And right now, refurbished models are going for $385 on eBay, which is a pretty substantial savings over Amazon's 5 asking price for new units. For those who may have forgotten, this is what the Tab Pro is working with:

Did the world need another music streaming service back when Samsung unveiled Milk Music in March? That's not the point. If you happen to own a Galaxy device (and with them selling by the truckload, there's a good chance that you do), then this exclusive service is well worth a look. Now the company is bringing Milk Music to the big screen by opening up the app to a handful of tablets.

So you want an 8-inch Galaxy Tab Pro, but you don't want to spend $399.99 on one? I hear you. $399.99 isn't all that expensive as far as tech purchases go, but tablets are increasingly affordable these days, and you can get two Nexus 7s for that price. I can't hook you up with a 16GB Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 for the same as a Nexus, but I can point you in the direction of one that's going for over $100 off its usual price (and $50 less than what Amazon's reduced it to). Groupon is currently selling refurbished ones for $284.99.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 is a massive tablet, as it's a dozen inches of Android tablet that costs as much as a decent laptop. This thing is still going for $549.99 to $649.99 elsewhere, but a refurbished one is currently up [ebay id="141301996052" text="on eBay"] for just $399.99. That's a pretty big savings of at least $150.

Eight inches is a fine size for a tablet, but the options are still pretty slim. People in want of a stock Android experience in the form factor pretty much have to go with the LGGPGPE or hack together their own solution. Thankfully the latter is, depending on the device, as simple as gaining root and flashing a ROM. CyanogenMod has just rolled out its first nightlies for Samsung's Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4. This provides consumers with a certain degree of tech-savviness another option for an 8" slate.

If you think that Samsung's "Pro" line of tablets are too expensive, you're in good company. And apparently that company includes the folks at Amazon, because they've discounted every Galaxy Tab Pro and Note Pro model by a considerable margin. They're still expensive, at least compared to other Android tablets, but they might be a little more palatable with a lower price tag.
