As it appears, that is indeed an aluminum unibody that looks similar to a speakerless HTC One. At just 7.18mm, it is also incredibly thin for how large it is.

[Updated][Mildly Interesting] Guy Buys A Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE For Verizon, Except That It's Not Supposed To Exist

Update: After posting this, we heard from employees who work for authorized retailers, as well as customers who verified that this was not a freak thing. These Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE models for Verizon were, in-fact, sold in very limited quantities.

From the evidence available, it seems that some indirect, non-corporate retailers received stock around the 2014 holiday season and were almost always selling the tablets for $99 on contract.

Tip: Chrome Beta On Tablets Now Has An Easy Way To Close All Tabs

 

Have you ever let the number of tabs in Google Chrome get out of hand? A nifty trick has popped up in Chrome Beta's tablet interface, now making it simple to deal with a large amount of tabs. Simply press and hold on the "X" you would normally use to close a single tab, and you will be prompted with a small dialogue that says "Close all tabs." Hit that and you have a clean slate.
