Ever since the Toshiba Thrive came out about a month ago, we've been able to find deals on every variant, except the 32 GB version. There was the 8GB for $380 and the 16GB for $405, but never the 32GB... until now.

Two cores along with a 10 inch display and full USB, HDMI, and SD ports, topped off with 32GB of internal storage can be had for $509.99 (normally $579.99) with free shipping from macmall's eBay account as part of today's eBay Daily Deals.

This is the latest in our Weekend Poll series. For last week's, see Amazon Has Now Given Away More Than 100 Apps - Which One Is Your Favorite?

Many discussions have broken out around the Android Police e-offices about tablets and whether they're productive, valuable products. Some team members are of the opinion that they're really just expensive toys, good as a minor luxury but not really worth the high cost.

The latest post over at the official Gmail blog brings us some heart-warming and exciting news around a new Gmail Labs feature called Preview Pane.

  1. It means Gmail Labs are still going strong and
  2. If you own a Honeycomb tablet, you may already be familiar with the preview pane interface that Gmail for Honeycomb uses. There are 3 panes in total - folder list, message list, and a convenient preview pane, and as of today, you can view all 3 right in your regular Gmail.com.

Well it's about bloody time! The last we heard, Acer's Iconia Tab A100 - the little sibling of the larger, 10-inch A500 - was being delayed due to Honeycomb restrictions on 7-inch displays.  Fortunately, though, it seems that all of those issues are now firmly in the past for Acer, as Engadget is reporting that the company is readying its tablet for an early August launch, with a suggested retail price of $300.

When I got my Galaxy Tab 10.1, one of the first apps I installed was Dolphin HD, and while it worked great, it still had that "phone" feel to it. Thankfully, the Dolphin Team has been hard at work prepping a version designed specifically for Android tablets (although, they're saying it's for "pads").

Since this is a beta version, it's clear that it's based off of Dolphin HD, as some of the menus still retain the phone vibe.

It has been quite an exciting (and busy) night for Thrive owners and hackers. The community managed to root the device, enable Superuser Permissions, and flash ClockworkMod Recovery. Thus far only a handful of people have taken the plunge, so issues could still arise, but preliminary results are looking good. In their own words:

Mine is the second fully working Thrive with Superuser access, Dalepl was first, and austeregrim bricked his to get shell root so we could get the system dump.
