YouTube's Tablet Subscription List Gets Filters

Back in December, we reported on a new "pseudo-drawer" for the YouTube app on Android - replacing the horizontal list of avatars and activity indicators found on phones, the drawer gave users a scrollable vertical list of subscriptions - avatars and names - along with actual numbers.

Now, it looks like the drawer is getting some tweaks. First, it overlaps the UI when expanded now, rather than pushing everything to the side. Amazon is discounting its Fire 7" tablet to $39.99. The original price wasn't a lot more, at $49.99, but $10 off are $10 you can use to buy a book or two, or a game or two, or a cover.

Digitally Imported Radio Optimizes Its Interface For Tablets And Landscape Orientation

If you want to stream electronic music, Digitally Imported (di.fm) is one of the best sources you can turn to. The service's Android app, Digitally Imported Radio also does it justice on mobile thanks to wide channel support, a great and updated interface, and frequent changes to implement new features like casting support. The app, however, lacked one option when it was redesigned in June of last year: landscape support. That's finally being implemented along with interface optimizations for tablets.

Version 3.1 of the app adds "first class support for Android tablets," and restores support for landscape orientation on phones.
