Get ready, on-the-go photographers - come July 27th, you'll be able to pick up the myTouch 4G Slide, which, according to T-Mobile's presser, will be the best camera phone yet.

As a reminder, the latest iteration in the myTouch series will cost $199.99 with a new two-year contract and will pack:

  • A 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
  • A 3.7" SLCD 800x480 display
  • Android 2.3 with Sense 3.0
  • An 8-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and 1080p video capture
  • A full QWERTY keyboard
  • "4G" (HSPA+) connectivity

You'll be able to pre-order the device starting July 19th, and while we're not so sure about that 3.7-inch WVGA display, we doubt that'll stop you if you're serious about great keyboards or mobile picture-taking.

HTC has finally laid out a timetable for the release of software updates on phones that will allow the unlocking of device bootloaders. It sounds like HTC will be utilizing a system similar to Sony - which uses a web-based tool as part of the unlock process. Why? HTC states that while the OTA software update allowing unlocking will start rolling out in August, the actually ability to unlock phones won't be ready until early September.

If you want to get one of the hottest phones on T-Mo for the lowest price you can find, then you should probably head over the Wirefly where you can score the HTC Sensation 4G for $130 with a new two-year agreement. This is quite the deal, as Amazon Wireless and T-Mobile are both still selling this handset for $200.

Still not sold? Take a look at what you'll get for that one-thirty:

  • 4.3 inch qHD Super LCD display
  • 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor
  • 768MB RAM
  • 1GB built-in storage
  • 8MP rear camera, VGA front camera
  • Android 2.3 with Sense 3.0

As you can tell by those specs, this phone is definitely no joke.

Although not the best-kept secret over at T-Mobile, the latest entry in their myTouch series is still very impressive. Specs-wise, it is able to easily compete with the recently-released Sensation, but still has a few interesting software tricks up its sleeves:

  • 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
  • 3.7" SLCD 800 x 480 display
  • Android 2.3
  • Sense 3.0
  • 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash
  • 1080p video capture
  • Full QWERTY keyboard
  • HSPA+ connectivity

While the 8 megapixel camera isn't unheard of among high-end smartphones, T-Mobile wants you to know that the 4G Slide is still easily capable of replacing your camera because the software features included.

Update: Don't install this app until it gets an update - it will turn your GPS on every 10 seconds to update your location info, and won't stop unless you Force Stop it from the Manage Applications screen. It was at 68% on my phone's battery usage menu after 6 hours of doing little with my phone aside from checking e-mail sporadically. Yuck.

Have you ever wanted an app that aggregates your favorite daily deal and special offer services into a single, location-based list?

Love it or hate it, Angry Birds is a massively popular game. Even if it may be a bit played out and past its prime, that doesn't make this any less entertaining: T-Mobile created a real-world, life-size Angry Birds Live game in Barcelona, controllable via an Android device. The results are cooler than you'd expect, and the short (1:40) video is worth a watch.

Certainly puts a smile on your face, doesn't it?

It's no secret that the HTC Sensation is coming to T-Mobile on June 15th for $199 after a $50 mail-in-rebate. The device is also going to be landing at select Wal-Mart stores as early as June 12, but until now, we had no idea what the pricing was going to look like. The crew over at Android Community has gotten a hold of some info that tells us just that, and it looks like it's going to come in at $148.88 (with a two-year agreement).

It seems like Samsung was releasing source code on a daily basis there for a while, but it has been relatively quiet over the past couple of weeks in that area. Today, though, the Sammy crew dropped the source code for the upcoming Exhibit 4G, which is set to land on T-Mobile sometime this month.

As it turns out, we just couldn't resist the joke after all.

If you're aching to crack this code open, you can grab it from Samsung's Open Source Developers Center.

The crew over at Wirefly recently got their hands on the Samsung Exhibit 4G, one of T-Mobile's upcoming budget phones, and, in typical Wirefly fashion, gave it a brief review along with a couple of benchmarks. Bob Kovacs seems to really like the phone, stating that it "has all the power of the Galaxy S line, but in a smaller, more affordable package," which makes this sound like a solid offering, especially when you consider the T-Mo price of $79.99 with a two-year agreement.

As promised, T-Mobile has just announced its newest Android handsets: the Samsung Exhibit 4G and the Samsung Gravity SMART.

The two new Samsung devices will bolster T-Mobile's Android coffers by providing an affordable option for penny-pinching smartphone lovers.

The Samsung Exhibit 4G is the higher-end of the two devices, running Android 2.3 and featuring a speedy 1GHz processor, a 3 MP rear camera with flash and a camcorder, as well as a front-facing camera with video chat pre-installed and, of course, HSPA+ ("4G") connectivity.
