Last week John Legere unveiled Uncarrier 11, the one where T-Mobile resorts to outright bribes (excuse me, giveaways) to buy customer loyalty. Is this something to be upset over? Not really. Free stuff is free stuff.
Except for many T-Mobile customers, the promised free pizza was not available. Read More
The BlackBerry Priv was supposed to be a big step forward for the once-king of smartphones. After having no luck with BlackBerry OS 10, the company launched its first Android phone late last year. The Priv started as an AT&T exclusive, then launched on T-Mobile in late January. Less than five months later, it looks like Tmo is done with the Priv. Read More
T-Mobile's Uncarrier 11 event just happened, and there were no surprises. Well, there were technically surprises, but not for anyone who pays attention to carrier rumors. The details we had previously are an exact match for what T-Mobile CEO John Legere announced. The company is handing out free stock to customers, plus you will continue getting free stuff via the new Tmo app every week. Read More

Wow, there have been a lot of 8-inch LG tablets. There was the original LG G Pad 8.3, with various carrier and Google Play variants. The G Pad II came in both 8.0 and more premium 8.3 varieties. Then there's the G Pad F 8.0 on AT&T and T-Mobile, plus the G Pad X 8.3 on Wi-Fi and Verizon. All of them have some considerable variations in specs and features (LG can't seem to decide whether it likes styli and full-sized USB ports or not), but the G Pad X 8.0 is the one coming to T-Mobile today. I never thought there would be a day when I'd know this much about US carriers and MVNOs, but this is what happens when you work on a US-based site like Android Police. Literally, a couple: the Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen) and Moto E (2nd Gen). It also seems to be ahead of its times, relying on Wi-Fi calling and piggy-backing on Sprint's network when Wi-Fi isn't available.
But things are about to improve by a few leaps and bounds for Republic Wireless. Read More
