Spotify brings back a beloved gesture it took away 2 years ago

Swiping down to find songs in a playlist is finally available... again

App developers love to torture us every now and then. One day you're using a feature and taking it for granted, the next it's gone and there's no way to get it back. More than two years ago, Spotify did that for the swipe down gesture to search in playlists for no reason whatsoever. Now it's back again.

Until now, pressing the back navigation button has been the only way to get out of an image in the Google Play Store on Android, but it seems a new method is rolling out. A gesture to swipe down on an image to exit has been implemented, which is certainly more intuitive.

While most of us here on Android Police use third-party launchers for their added customization options, many users stick with the default launcher that comes on their device because it does the job well enough. One of the reasons I switch to Nova is gestures, because I love swiping down on the homescreen to open the notification panel, since reaching the top of the display can sometimes be cumbersome, especially one-handed.
