SugarSync-Thumb

What's SugarSync's biggest advantage over its competitors? Its logo. That's right, that green bird is just so darn cute, and it gives your app drawer an extra degree of spice the others just can't match. That's not to say the service is all fluff though. Version 4.1 of the SugarSync's Android app introduces a number of intriguing features. The most notable of these additions is the inclusion of offline folder syncing.

Despite its slightly controversial conversion from being a free beta app to paid in the final version, Solid Explorer continues to be one of the most powerful, versatile, and best-supported apps on Android – especially in the file manager category. The app recently received an update that makes it even more powerful, specifically in the area of cloud storage: the app now has SugarSync support, as well as improved libraries for Box and SkyDrive.

Popular cloud syncing and sharing app SugarSync, which promises to give you "all of your data at your fingertips," got a major update today – its first since July 20th, 2012.

Probably the most obvious change is to the app's interface. In the 4.0 update, SugarSync has been totally redesigned to bring it closer to its desktop and web counterparts, adding – among other things – a new gallery with larger thumbnails, thumbnail support for common video formats, and some holo-esque elements.

Dropbox has been the reigning king of cloud storage and syncing for a few years now, but the competition is getting intense. LogMeIn, which is best known for its remote access apps, has just launched a cloud storage solution of its own called Cubby. Not only does Cubby come with 5GB of free storage to Dropbox's 2GB, but it also implements a peer-to-peer sharing system that will help you get around that limit.

ZeroPC is this crazy service that lets you access all the popular cloud services from one place. "All the popular cloud services" is shorthand for Box.net, Dropbox, Evernote, Facebook, Flickr, Google Docs, Instagram, Picasa and SugarSync. Yeah, everything.

The website is insane. They've whipped up an in-browser operating system. Imagine a Linux-based OS in your browser. That's exactly what the website looks like.

However, this is an Android blog, so we should probably focus on the freshly-released Android Tablet (only) app.
