Just as expected, HTC's Evo 4G LTE has finally landed at Sprint, both online and in stores. After the latest Evo's extended stay at US Customs, the device has arrived just in time for release, perfectly timed for early celebration of the original Evo 4G's release a mere two years ago.

From May 24th to June 1st, a boatload of your favorite Android games will be going on sale in celebration of pricing freedom. Because We May, a coalition of game developers that is "preparing for launch," announced the sale recently, explaining that the purpose of the sale is to "celebrate online stores that give us control over pricing."

The stores involved include the iOS App Store, Mac App Store, Steam, Google Play, and a few others (including a "Direct from Developer" option).

A new version of the Android Play Store (formerly Android Market) with version 3.5.19 is now rolling out, replacing 3.5.16. We haven't seen a new Play Store for over a month, but what changes it contains compared to its predecessor is not clear at the moment. I've examined all the menus I could think of and didn't find anything new, so improvements are either under-the-hood or so subtle it'll take a whole AP community to find them.

ShoeBox, an app that represents 1000memories' first foray into the Play Store, is an awesome digital photo organizer, "turning your Android device into a mobile photo scanner," and allowing for sophisticated organization, storage, and sharing of your treasured paper photos.

For those that can't exactly hold their device with machine precision when scanning old photos, ShoeBox offers edge detection and perspective correction, ensuring that your newly-digitized photos won't be distorted or misshapen.

By all accounts, the Amazon Kindle Fire is the best-selling Android tablet of all time.Between Amazon's quality-not-quantity approach to their App Store and one-tablet-to-rule-them-all line-up, and you've got a recipe for quality control more akin to Apple than Google. But that also means developing for the Fire and the App Store is a slightly different experience from start to finish - so if you're planning an app specifically for the Fire...

A new Google Play Store v3.5.16 started rolling out to some Android users in the last 24 hours. This version replaces 3.5.15, which brought a whole host of new features last time around, and reportedly brings fixes to those having trouble seeing purchased apps or experiencing force closes.

Additionally, improvements in snappiness were reported, but it could just end up being the placebo effect. I haven't found any other obvious changes thus far.

You  may remember that TalkLittle's hugely popular Reddit browser, Reddit is Fun, was banned from the Google Play Store about 2 weeks ago for "sexually explicit material," shortly after its substantial update to version 2.0. The banishment of Reddit is Fun caused quite a stir, primarily because Google's decision to ban the app seemed to be based on a vague policy regarding apps that give users the ability to find explicit material.

Android developer console, which Android devs use to publish and manage applications, now supports multiple users without having to share a single account (and, more importantly, its password).

This may not be a big deal to one-person teams, but for larger companies it's pure gold. The addition of these user accounts also carries the benefit of fine-grained controls over permissions. Currently the only togglable permission is access to financial reports, but the Android team promised to roll out more in the future.

If you were a fan of Space Invaders or TI-83 classic Phoenix, you'll enjoy this: Star Defender 3. In a nutshell, it's a game where you pilot a spaceship against hordes of alien beasts. The description words it best:

Get ready to fight through hoards of alien beasts in Star Defender 3!

The highly anticipated game is finally here! The year is 2743 A.D., only two short years since the last war, and the Insectus have already prepared for their next wave, with new tricks to defeat you.

This is the latest in our Weekend Poll series. For last week's, see What Do You Primarily Use Your Tablet For?

A few days ago, a popular reddit post (heads up, NSFW language) drew attention to the fact that the Play Store looks like an absolute mess these days. And it's true - just about everyone on the team agreed with the statement. Liam (our resident designer) agreed so strongly he even went ahead and wrote a post about it, and even went a step further and by creating some renders of how he'd do things.
