Square Enix is kind of known for having some pretty hefty prices on its games, even those outside of the Final Fantasy franchise. For that reason, we always like to see a sale that might make the purchase a little more palatable. If you've been eyeing Demons' Score since it launched in December, now is the time to jump on it. Until April 25th, the rhythm-action game will only cost $9.99.

If you're an RPG fan and haven't given Square Enix's Chaos Rings titles a spin on Android yet, they're almost definitely now worth the price of admission: just about $4 each. With the release of Chaos Rings 2 for Android yesterday, Square Enix is celebrating by slashing the price of the two earlier titles.

Both games are content-rich and story-driven JRPG's in the traditional style, though don't let their decided conservativeness in the genre fool you - the Chaos Rings games are Rolls Royces in a category (mobile RPGs) dominated by Kias.

If you were to look through the back catalog of console games circa 2009, you might be surprised to find a game called Mini Ninjas getting a disproportionate amount of press. It was a fun little title that mixed kid-friendly themes and Japanese mythology with solid stealth and combat gameplay. If you're hoping for a return to sneaking around Edo castles and facing off against gigantic bosses, too bad, because publisher Square has re-used the name and assets for an otherwise unremarkable endless runner game.

In honor of its first full year distributing games on the Play Store, Square Enix has placed its most recent Final Fantasy release - Final Fantasy Dimensions - on sale for just $9.99, a savings of $10.

With an average rating of 4.4 stars and nearly 800 reviews, Dimensions is easily among Square Enix's best-reviewed titles on Android. Whether you're a Final Fantasy nut, or just love RPGs crafted in the old 2D style, this sale is definitely worth taking advantage of.

If you're a Final Fantasy fan, you'll want to get yourself over to the Play Store as soon as possible, because Square Enix has just released Final Fantasy II and Final Fantasy Dimensions for Android.

The titles don't come cheap; Final Fantasy II is priced at $7, whereas Dimensions will put you back $20, but considering how much similar games from Square on other platforms cost, it's not a terrible deal.

There's no denying that Square Enix makes some of the best RPGs in gaming history. They also make some of the most expensive games on the Google Play Store, and usually, they're one in the same. If you've been holding off on buying classic titles like Chrono Trigger because of an admittedly high price tag, now's the time to grab them: a handful of Square's games are greatly discounted in the Play Store right now.

What looks, plays, and sounds like a Final Fantasy game, but isn’t? If you answered Chaos Rings Omega, I’d like to give you a no-prize. This game comes to us from publisher Square-Enix, who also handles a lot of the other JRPGs that have shaped the genre into what it is today.

Like my colleagues at AP have commented, the Chaos Rings series may be their way of testing the waters before a full-fledged Final Fantasy mobile title, and it shows; the game is one of the most beautiful that I’ve ever played on the Android platform, and it is worth every penny of the $12.99 price tag.

Square Enix have released their latest Android offering to the Play Store, in the form of the sequel to the mobile RPG Chaos Rings (which came out on Android last month): Chaos Rings Omega.

Chaos Rings was designed from the ground up to be a "mobile RPG," similar to - but carefully avoiding the name of - the Final Fantasy franchise. It seems very likely that Chaos Rings is Square's way of testing the waters of mobile before going all-in on a made-for-touch original Final Fantasy title.

If you were a gamer in the 90s, there was a good chance you either owned or had played a Super Nintendo. While the debate still rages on about whether that machine or the Sega Genesis was superior, it can be safely stated that the SNES had some amazing role-playing titles.

Chief among these was Chrono Trigger, a game by a group of developers so storied that they were labeled a "Dream Team." The game was one of many titles (Final Fantasy VI, Earthbound, Super Mario RPG) that helped further the genre and leave a lasting impression on gaming as a whole.
